Spor_tees Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Eventually the Bengals are going to have to bring in a young guy to sit the bench and learn how to be a good back up for Carson. From watching this game tonight, I think I would love to see Jared Zebransky come in the late rounds as a back-up. The guy has leadership skills, a good arm, and some major wheels (4.5 40 time). Stripes Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I'm fine with Anthony Wright... As for youth, I still want to see what Erik Meyer can do. Quote
TJJackson Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Anthony Wright signed a 1 year contract - so he's likely done here Quote
Stripes Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Anthony Wright signed a 1 year contract - so he's likely done hereProbably, though I liked what I saw from him in the preseason, and I hope they at least consider resigning him. Quote
Kazkal Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Rookie in rnds 6 or 7 or someone young who we can try devolope period. Quote
WhoDey93285 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Speaking of Zebransky, that was one of the best college footballs games I have ever seen. That 4th and 18 with 18 seconds left in regulation was one of the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.As for the backup, I'd also like to see them re-sign Wright. I really would like to bring in a proven veteran guy like Kitna to kind of mentor Carson a little bit. I bet Carson missed Kitna terribly this season. Quote
combatbengal Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 OK, get off the Kitna wagon. Yes he was a good leader in the locker room, but the guy couldn't come in and win games for us. He was great at throwing int's!! However, he did play well against the cowboys this past weekend. He's has a good game a year. Wright on the other hand should stay. Quote
redsrule2500 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Too bad it's not Jon Kitna, I think he was great to have on the team! Quote
Spor_tees Posted January 2, 2007 Author Report Posted January 2, 2007 I'm sure Marvin is scouring the local prison leagues for any guy with a cannon arm and some speed. Too bad Art Schlister is too old. Quote
cincy9275 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 i would like wright to return. i don't want a rookie backup as our number 2. #3 yea sure but no way in hell do we put a guy that has no clue of what he is doing as our backup that would be asking for trouble. Quote
