WhoDey93285
Not in the first round, but in the 3rd or 4th round? I love Rudi, but if he ever loses a step, he's done. And he ain't no spring chicken anymore. I mean, he was supposed to be as quick as he's ever been this year and we're still getting three yards and a cloud of dust. We need a Jones-Drew or Norwood type of burner who can come in and give us a big play.
Stripes
I agree, we need another back to shoulder some of the load, and provide better depth than Perry/Watson ever will. I think that can be found on the second draft day, or even in Quincy Wilson.

Stripes
what aobut that dude from Northern Illinois?Garrett Wolfe. I think he'd be a fine third down/change of pace back, but I don't think he's the type we need. I want another pounder that can spell Rudi often and still offer the same physicality. West Coast Bengal
RUDI NEVER GOT THE f**kIN BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whur CHad At?
When he did he couldn't do s**t with it. You have to throw the ball to beat s**ttsburgh
WhoDey93285
The fact Rudi never got the ball isn't the point. a 3.6 average or whatever he had isn't going to cut it. We need a Willie Parker/Jerome Bettis-esque combination, in my opinion. We just need a Fast Willie.
cincy9275
what aobut that dude from Northern Illinois?garrett wolfe is the guy your are talking about. would love to see him in benagls stripes he is one hell of a player. he is listed as 5-7 177 pounds. with his size there is a real good chance he will be there in the 3rd or 4th rd this guy rushed for 1,900 yards with games of 196 263 353 162 and 13 tds this guy is the real deal. schweinhart
This RB draft looks weak. Their may be an undrafted RB like Willie Parker in the woodwork say in an Alvin Banks or better yet Eugene Gross (who is quite good) but steals like Norwood, Turner the Burner, Brandon Jacobs..etc. don't look like they're there. Wolfe would be intriguing if he's there late because there's no doubt he'll get through the hole quicker than Rudi w/o all the sideways hopping around like Chris Perry. But Rudi/Watson/Perry should be enough to win games and make the playoffs. If they want to make the run game better, they need to go after a stronger center.
GregCook
This team didn't make the playoffs because of consistent weekly poor play by Deltha and Tory. I have no doubt the Bengals will draft a running back in April's draft. Perry's fragility and Rudi's pounding forces it. Can't win in the AFC North without a good ground pounder, see Parker for 120+ and Rudi for 40. The Bengals have serious needs this time. Linebackers as a group suck. Secondary needs another Joesph. Dline help at tackle. Tight end. Oline for depth. Punt return and special teams. I'd say Marvin has his work cut out for him. FA should be a big help this time around, much like when he arrived. Marvin is a fanatic about linebackers, so this year should be interesting. The Bengals have lots of cap room and Marvin is a fine judge of horse flesh. HoosierCat
Not in the first round, but in the 3rd or 4th round? I love Rudi, but if he ever loses a step, he's done.I'm not sure he hasn't already lost a step. He's looked slow and hesistant all year, though how much of that is him and how much is all the shuffling on the o-line, I can't say. Hopefully more of the latter than the former. That said, it's not a good year for RBs. About all we can do is cross our fingers and hope Chris Perry finally emerges (fat chance, tho I think it's a contract year for him so you never know) or that Quincy Wilson can step up.
