Who was Palmer talking about?

When/where did he say this? Context is important.

Check Hobson's site, its all there.

Let me add another to who he was referring to......himself. TJ, endzone, Denver, must win, overthrows, picked off. Carson is going to be a great QB, no doubt, but blunders like that cost games and he knows it better than anyone.

I would venture to say that Carson would be more critical of himself in the media then any one of his teammate, unlike a receiver that wears a star on the side of his helmet.

I'm pretty sure he was just speaking in vague generalities.

But there are some bad apples on this team certainly - and you can start with guys like Deltha O'Neal. And maybe that's what he's eluding to ultimately.

The defense is filled with bad characters and guys who don't seem to take Sundays seriously enough. There's no hard hitters, no one with any leadership qualities other than Dexter, no attitudes, no emotion out of that side of the ball at all.

On offense guys like Chad and Henry need to focus on football only and do whatever it takes to be great consistently and win games and make plays when it counts, ecspecially in big/crucial/tough games.

Basically the Bengals' need more players like Peko, Palmer, Dexter and TJ - and less of the riff raff.

Marvin sure as hell needs to do his character studies this off-season before signing/drafting new players.

Because despite all the talent here, they do not play together well as a team, and come unglued quite easily, are always in trouble, and have some poor work habits.

I also have read reports that Marvin does not work them hard enough during the season (too many out of shape guys) and the game preparation shows on Sundays quite frankly.

Less Boozin' - more Bruisin', should be his theme going into next year.

As much as I hate to admit it, you're right. Carson is a fantastic QB and will go down as one of the greats. But he was horrible in the Denver game. There were plenty of other misques but Carson had multiple coslty misthrows. If he completes one of those, the Bengals win the game and "The Mile High Mishap" never occurs.

And if Chad doesn't fidget (bad call or not) on the LOS Henry catches a 70 yard TD, and if Rudi doesn't fumble in the 4th in FG range, and if Whitworth doesn't give up sacks early, and if Chad doesn't fumble the ball away on a 1st down catch, and if Palmer doesn't overthrow TJ, and if Palmer doesn't overthrow Chad deep, etc.., etc...,

Palmer had a bad game by his standards certainly - yet he did get them in a position to win the game late and made up for it IMO - he always does - he always comes back from crucial mistakes at least - that's why he's great IMO.

Even with Carson's mistakes/bad throws, they still should've beaten Denver by 2 scores easily - but the whole team, ecspecially the offense Sunday, contributed to the loss.
