rwjcgc
It's the start of the 4th quarter and we all know deep down that there is absolutely no chance this team will make a comeback. The arrogant Palmer can't win the big game. The defense folds like a deck of cards when games are on the line. Sure they pile up some stats when the pressure is off a bit and the competition is second tier. But play a competent team and this circus shuts down. The names of the coaches and players change, the empty trophy case is the only constant. Spor_tees
Everyone talks about the curse of the Bengals. Well today just showed something totally unbeliveable. I have seen high school teams lose, college teams lose, but never a professional football team lose a game by missing an extra point to tie the game. ONLY, I mean ONLY the Cincinnati Bengals could lose a game like that. And not only lose a game like that, but lose a game like that, that would clinch a playoff berth. Now we can listen all week and maybe all offseason the "Bungles" jabs.

Stripes
They made the comabeack. Palmer threw the touchdown pass. Then something else happened, and I killed myself.
101Airborne
This is what kills me. Everything, abso-freaking-lutely everthing went against us this game. TD called back by a penalty, Onsides kick called back by a penalty, a TD they had that should have been reversed and was not, a GD missed XP. The only two consistant players it seemed were Holt and Rudi. I don't know if we were out coached or not but the damn players sure as heck didn't step up. If they can't win a game to GET them to the playoffs they sure as heck won't win a game IN the playoffs!!
membengal
Yup. Gave it away from start to finish like I have never seen a team give a game away before. They don't deserve the playoffs.
Spor_tees
This game was almost like a chick getting totally naked before she gives you the brush off...the ultimate chub killer.
rwjcgc
TDB, I'll grant you that they did almost everything needed to tie the game. But the key word is almost. That word describes 100% of the also rans in this league. Most every NFL team has the ability to win, but the few that find the way to do it consistently and win the BIG GAMES should be applauded. Unfortunately this team isn't one of them.
Spor_tees
At least we can look forward to the Reds and a season with a healthy Griffey.
