cinci_bengals Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Yes I think Denver started traveling before the blizzard hit Quote
belmontbengal Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Ummm...the game is IN Denver...I think that was his point. Quote

Stripes Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Two or three years ago I was trapped in the Denver airport for the same reason. Quote
denverbengal Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Just heard on local news, the airport will re-open at noon tomorrow. Two or three years ago I was trapped in the Denver airport for the same reason.Yesterday there were planes that had left their gates and were getting ready to take off. The storm intensified before they could get off the ground. By the time the pilots realized they weren't going anywhere, all of the gates had filled up, leaving them no where to go to unload passengers. Some people spent 8 hours sitting on planes on the tarmack before they could even get back into the airport. Quote

It wasn't quite that bad when I was there... just a lot people camping out on cots throughout the building. Quote

R-U-D-I Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Do you suppose the Broncos are going to miss a day or two of practice in preparing for the Bengals??? Interesting thought.... Quote

R-U-D-I Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Forget a bubble, by the sounds of it, they aren't making down the highway to get to practice.... If it's really as bad as it sounds, 2 feet of snow is a lot, even for Denver. Quote
denverbengal Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 They did practice yesterday. Today...doubtful They do have a bubble. FWIW, it's not owned by the Broncos.Family Sports Center Quote
HairOnFire Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Do you suppose the Broncos are going to miss a day or two of practice in preparing for the Bengals??? Interesting thought....They probably have a bubble. The talking heads on the NFL Network confirmed that the Broncos entire training facility was completely without power. But don't pity the Broncos because they were able to get in a normal day of practice using an off-site practice facility. Sound familiar? Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 I hope I don't hear anyone under-estimating the power of the bubble. Trust me it's a big problem for the Bengals' and will continue to be. Players just don't pay attention as much or work as hard when they're soaking wet or freezing their cajones off - and injuries happen more frequently as well. Then there's ability to step into it and get some throwing in any time you want between the QB and WR's, any time of year, on short notice. Not sure why that's not important.Mike Brown's a cheap a$$ idiot not to get one built on the PBS grounds. It can be done, and i'm tired of arguing for it, so I'll shut up now. Quote
