Bengals included in Montgomery Gentry song

I picked up their new CD yesterday, and was giving it a listen at home when I heard them sing something about the Bengals. I quickly reversed the play to hear it again, and sure a s**t, there it was! I guess the country duo of Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry are true Bengals fans to mention them in their lyrics. I bet it was the playoff loss that pissed them off.

Montgomery Gentry - "Lucky Man"

I have days where I hate my job

This little town and the whole world too

Last Sunday when the Bengals lost

Lord it put me in a bad mood

I have moments when I curse the rain

Then complain when the sun's too hot

I look around at what everyone has

And I forget about all I've got

But I know I'm a lucky man

God's given me a pretty fair hand

Got a house and a piece of land

A few dollars in a coffee can

My old trucks still running good

My ticker's ticking like they say it should

I got supper in the oven, a good woman's loving

And one more day to be my little kid's dad

Lord, knows I'm a lucky man

Got some friends who would be here fast

I could call em any time of day

Got a brother who's got my back

Got a mama who I swears a saint

Got a brand new rod and reel

Got a full week off this year

Dad had a close call last spring

It's a miracle he's still here

But I know I'm a lucky man

God's given me a pretty fair hand

Got a house and a piece of land

a few dollars in a coffee can

My old trucks still running good

My ticker's tickin' like they say it should

I got supper in the oven, good woman's loving

And one more day to be my little kid's dad

Lord, knows I'm a lucky man

My old trucks still running good

My ticker's ticking like they say it should

I got supper in the oven, a good woman's loving

And even my bad days ain't that bad

Yeah, I'm a lucky man

I'm a lucky lucky man

**Sorry, but this song is devoid of "Uh-Huh's," "Yo's," and "Crotch Grabs." ^_^

Don't get fooled. Last time a country song did this, it was just for the Cincinnati radio versions. They do it to get listeners. For example, in the song Favorite state, they talk about skyline chili, but in versions around other parts of the country they say Texas chili. When I heard this for the first time i was PISSED. Anyway, im not sure if this song will do the same thing, but i wouldn't be surprised if a texas radio version talked about the cowboys losing.

No, I think it's genuine:

Montgomery Gentry may hail from Kentucky, but when it comes to professional sports, the guys turn their attention to Ohio. Eddie Montgomery says he’s been a lifelong Cincinnati Bengal fan, and often wears the orange & black when he’s relaxing.

I tell you I’ve worn Bengals stuff since I was an little bitty kid, and the reason I became a Cincinnati fan is because in Kentucky we don’t have a pro team, we have U-K basketball, and I noticed my grand dad when we worked in the fields cutting tobacco, when he got a TV that when the Bengals or the Reds came on, we got to take a break coming out of the fields, so I became a fan by that! So I always wore the jerseys and I can’t wait til we win the Super Bowl this year.

I still won't buy the cd though.

Your talking about that song from Big and Rich, The Skyline Chili part is on the CD (Which I bought in Colorado) and Ive heard that version in LA, Colorado and Pittsburgh. I hear they only change it to "Texas Chili" when playing in texas.
