BengalszoneBilly
I picked up their new CD yesterday, and was giving it a listen at home when I heard them sing something about the Bengals. I quickly reversed the play to hear it again, and sure a s**t, there it was! I guess the country duo of Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry are true Bengals fans to mention them in their lyrics. I bet it was the playoff loss that pissed them off. Montgomery Gentry - "Lucky Man"I have days where I hate my jobThis little town and the whole world tooLast Sunday when the Bengals lostLord it put me in a bad moodI have moments when I curse the rainThen complain when the sun's too hotI look around at what everyone hasAnd I forget about all I've gotBut I know I'm a lucky manGod's given me a pretty fair handGot a house and a piece of landA few dollars in a coffee canMy old trucks still running goodMy ticker's ticking like they say it shouldI got supper in the oven, a good woman's lovingAnd one more day to be my little kid's dadLord, knows I'm a lucky manGot some friends who would be here fastI could call em any time of dayGot a brother who's got my backGot a mama who I swears a saintGot a brand new rod and reelGot a full week off this yearDad had a close call last springIt's a miracle he's still hereBut I know I'm a lucky manGod's given me a pretty fair handGot a house and a piece of landa few dollars in a coffee canMy old trucks still running goodMy ticker's tickin' like they say it shouldI got supper in the oven, good woman's lovingAnd one more day to be my little kid's dadLord, knows I'm a lucky manMy old trucks still running goodMy ticker's ticking like they say it shouldI got supper in the oven, a good woman's lovingAnd even my bad days ain't that badYeah, I'm a lucky manI'm a lucky lucky man**Sorry, but this song is devoid of "Uh-Huh's," "Yo's," and "Crotch Grabs." Folz
Don't get fooled. Last time a country song did this, it was just for the Cincinnati radio versions. They do it to get listeners. For example, in the song Favorite state, they talk about skyline chili, but in versions around other parts of the country they say Texas chili. When I heard this for the first time i was PISSED. Anyway, im not sure if this song will do the same thing, but i wouldn't be surprised if a texas radio version talked about the cowboys losing. Eddie Montgomery says he’s been a lifelong Cincinnati Bengal fan, and often wears the orange & black when he’s relaxing. I tell you I’ve worn Bengals stuff since I was an little bitty kid, and the reason I became a Cincinnati fan is because in Kentucky we don’t have a pro team, we have U-K basketball, and I noticed my grand dad when we worked in the fields cutting tobacco, when he got a TV that when the Bengals or the Reds came on, we got to take a break coming out of the fields, so I became a fan by that! So I always wore the jerseys and I can’t wait til we win the Super Bowl this year. I still won't buy the cd though.

I hear they only change it to "Texas Chili" when playing in texas.
