schweinhart Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Enjoy him while he lasts. You can bet there's some other teams around the league who will have K2 appreciation on their minds in the offseason. $$$ time for K2 with the kind of season he's had. Quote
agreen_112 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 I think he'll remain loyal to Cinci even if he gets better offers. Quote
bengal4life Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 The bengals have "The Great White Safety" as opposed to "The Great White Hype" the movie. Quote

CBin2k7 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Dear Mikey,Do not overpay for K2. Let him play elsewhere, if he wants a reasonable salary, give it to him. If he wants a good chunk of change, say buh bye. You have his replacement...His name is Ethan Kilmer.SignedCB Quote

So...consensus around these parts appears to be that we shouldn't "overpay" -- or more precisely, pay at all -- for Eric Steinbach. And that we certainly shouldn't "overpay" for Justin Smith. Now, it's suggested we shouldn't "overpay" for K2.Hmmm. Well, all I can say is that looks like good news for Mike Brown. It appears there will be little reason to expect fan outcry if he chooses to make a big deposit to his savings account instead of the team payroll next year. Quote

Now, it's suggested we shouldn't "overpay" for K2. Well, let's be honest about a couple of things. Most Bengal fans don't really like most Bengal players, and when it comes to spending top dollar for playing talent most Bengal fans would rather the team sign a past-his-prime castoff from another team. I admit it all seems pretty crazy to me, but unless you're talking about free agency, well....we're the Bastard Sons of Paul Brown, and tradition dictates that we throw around nickles like they were manhole covers. Stripes Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Bring KK back! Even if his statistics warrant some bigger dollar signs for him on offer sheets, I'd be surprised if the Bengals don't make a real effort in keeping him in the fold.I agree though, C.B... Kilmer is the man. Quote
