ShulaSteakhouse Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 Im stonedAnd the sky is blue and grass will always be green. And the Bengals' defense still sucks. Quote
coupdayta Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 Refs trying to defeat Bengals again. Worst ball spot ever. Conspiracy. Quote
HoosierCat Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 And the Bengals' defense still sucks. They've been OK today...it's the O that went poof. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 And the Bengals' defense still sucks. They've been OK today...it's the O that went poof.If they only had to play halves, they'd be great.Brees is giving us some gifts today! Quote
CPalmer9 Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 wow..we actually do have a defense, who would have thunk it Quote
Tasher Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 another interception in the end zone!whoo hooo. Quote
Tasher Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 okay, only a 3 point lead. Maybe our d will keep their heads in the game and come out of the locker room this week. Quote
schweinhart Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 K2 pick in end zone. Better late than never. Brees only got about 250 yds. throwing in 1st half but threw 2 end zone picks otherwise the Bengals would be getting their backsides handed to them rather than leading by 3 pts. Quote
HoosierCat Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 Told ya the D is here to play, at least this half. Now if the offense could find its ass without needing both hands and a flashlight we'd be OK... Quote
Spain Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 We havent had a good D since pecatilo Quote
CPalmer9 Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 we shouldnt be winning this game but i will take it Quote
CBin2k7 Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 And the Bengals' defense still sucks. They've been OK today...it's the O that went poof.OK, yeah right, 250 yards passing in one half is not ok. They have been lucky. Quote
Spain Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 hey what you call, a dog with two legs? Sit. Quote
MiamiOH91604 Posted November 19, 2006 Author Report Posted November 19, 2006 where was the playcalling/making from last week?jesus, this is the most inconsistent bengal team I've ever seen. At least when we were bad, we were consistently bad.we shouldnt be winning with the way we've played. and the way the saints D is playing today, if we played like last week, we'd be blowing them out. HoosierCat Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 And the Bengals' defense still sucks. They've been OK today...it's the O that went poof.OK, yeah right, 250 yards passing in one half is not ok. They have been lucky.Almost a third of which came on 1 play. Bottom line is they held NO to 7 points and gave the O two opportunities with turnovers...which our crappy O coverted into 3 whole points. alleycat Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 Halftime reflections:Without having quite the emotional investment of previous games, I've been checking out the D with a little bit of objectivity. The obvious:Tory James should retire from the NFL.Caleb Miller just doesn't have the talent/size/speed to play backer (big play involvement aside). Maybe some kind of SS type hybrid.Justin Smith is not worth the money to bring him back. In fact, I would say it's time to give Shaun Smith and Peko as much time as possible to get them ready for next year. I'm really upset about Rucker going down because it would be nice to get some PT for our replacement DE/DT's.Other thoughts:Madieu seems to have gotten some of the aggressiveness back.Defense played a lot worse than the score reflects. The difference in defense between last year and this is perfectly displayed by the three turnovers that we've been missing. The difference in O is demonstrated by the inability to turn them into points. Given that we've adjusted so poorly coming out of halftimes, I've got low confidence about the second half. I'm more worried about our inability to score than the D at this point, because TO's come in bunches and I have the feeling we'll get more. Quote
HoosierCat Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 McNair fumbles and blows a chance for Balti to at least put up 3 before the half.Meanwhile, Big Ben Sucksaburger is 4/11, 36 yards, 3 picks. Quote

Quote
CPalmer9 Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 we will never have a dominate defense... we will always have a bend but dont break defense, which is giving up 250 first half passing yards but only 7 points Quote
Tasher Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 in a Gregg Easterbrook note, the Saints Cheerleaders have way too many clothes on for Cheerleader professionalism... Quote
