TJJackson
check out the last sentence of this story: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art.../310250032/1066"Tab Perry (hip) also is out for the season, with the speculation circulating that Perry's injury might be as serious as Bo Jackson's." AMC
Perry's agent was optimistic about next year of course.
BlainThePain
I hope it isn't that bad. I was looking forward to watching him return kicks for the next decade.
membengal
Does this mean you don't want Mike Brown out of the draft room, tj?I think, when the extent first surfaced, I read on .com and a few other places that while it was like Bo's, they are treating it very differently, they won't rush him, and there is plenty of time for him to heal properly and get back for mini-camps, not to mention 2007.I think we see him again... derekshank
Here's a quote I made 3 days after his injury:Damn. A hip injury that will have him on crutches for a few weeks? Sounds like Bo Jackson.I was just talking out of my ass. I'm a little impressed with myself. To be fair... Bo tried to come back and play just a couple weeks later in the playoffs. He didn't give it time to heal, and apparently did a lot more damage.I doubt this is going to be a career ending thing. Especially since injury treatment has come so far since then, and they are giving Perry a year to heal... but it would certainly be a shame to lose him, given that he was probably the biggest bang for our buck draft pick last year. TJJackson
No, I still don't want Mike Brown in the draft room ......or in any way associated with the Bengals, for that matter, other than historical
membengal
But...you agree now that Tab Perry was a damn fine pick?
DC_Bengals_Fan
But...you agree now that Tab Perry was a damn fine pick?I'm reminded about an old quote about the frequency with which a dog's rectum is subjected to solar radiation. IE, the sun shines on a dog's ass every once in a while...
TJJackson
Tab Perry turned out to be a good pick. Yes.So did TJ, who was awful for yearsNone of this, however, means that I want Mike Brown anywhere near the draft room. Frankly, we'd all be better off if he handed the reins of the team off to a circus monkey.
