Injury Report

Jeanty was downgraded to doubtful. Simmons still hasn't practiced. If neither of them can go, we're going to have to make it work with Caleb Miller, Ahmad Brooks and Landon Johnson... and when you look at it, those are all 3rd string LB's at those positions. But I have a feeling Dexter's going to come back this week, and hopefully Simmons will be able to play so we'll be in okay shape.

Assuming Simmons plays, does anyone think that Brooks will get the start at SSLB, and we'll move Landon back to WSLB?

Regarding Brooks, I say: pick a spot, any spot. MLB, SSLB, WSLB, LBRALACWHHCO (Line Backer Running Around Like A Chicken With His Head Cut Off), I don't care. Just pick one and let the kid get comfortable in a role so his talent can shine through. Personally, I say SSLB with Landon in the middle but that's just me. Caleb can handle weak side.

hes not the greatest in coverage so i dont agree with SSLB. Simmons should be back - move him to weak, put landon on the strong and brooks in the middle. that would be the best.

agreed...but they'll probbley start brian in middle all season as marvin stated =/

With regard to Miller...you're kidding...right? That guy looks like a matador when trying to tackle RBs.

I agree with keeping Brooks in the middle - he's a natural for that position in this defense - whereas Simmons played outside all of last year and is better suited there (as well as in college).

Well, Nicholson is missing from the injury report, maybe we will see some of hime this week.

I disagree, just because I think Simmons has looked waaay better at MLB than he has at WSLB the last couple of years. But at the same time, i don't want to take Brooks out of the middle

well its either simmons on the weak or brooks on the strong, which poison do you prefer? i prefer simmons on the weak, atleast i know what im going to get from him.

and now they are saying simmons might not even play. miller back on the weak vs carolina's offense. . . sigh.
