Welcome to the Jungle

Got this email from a guy that wants to stop the Vikings from playing "Welcome to the Jungle" as their kickoff song. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me, just thought I'd pass it on though.

The Cincinnati Bengals and the Minnesota Vikings share something that is a little bizarre. Both NFL teams use "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns n' Roses as their kickoff song. It is very appropriate for the Bengals to use this as their kickoff song, not so much for the Vikings. Andrew Saur of Duluth, Minnesota is leading a campaign to change the Vikings Kickoff song to Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" as it is more appropriate for the Vikings. By eliminating "Welcome to the Jungle" from Minnesota's kickoffs, it allows the Bengals to be more unique and take it as their own.

Saur has designed a website to promote the idea of changing the kickoff song to the "Immigrant Song." The website is http://www.VikingsKickoff.com. It shows a short video documentary about this campaign, and a petition calling upon this change.

He is asking for support from Bengals fans to help both teams become more unique by signing this petition.

It's not just Minnesota. Listen to the TB/Bengals game again. At the end of the game, when the Bengals were beginning their last futile drive, TB stadium played "Welcome to the Jungle". I found it odd for them to play our song then.

Funny I thought Guns n Roses did that one, not us. Just kidding. Anyway I've heard that song in ALOT of pro football games. It does fit our stadium and team the best but lots of other teams use it.

Yeah, that G&R song is a classic stadium pump up song! It would be cool if it were only used by the Bengals, but never phased me that other teams use it as well.

I vote that the Bengals start playing "Who Let the Dogs Out" and start that wacky craze again! NOT!!!
