CarsonCity
When I visited this site the other week I loved reading what the black 'n urine were crying about in Pitt. If you could update us now that things have turned so ugly this early in the season, it'd be much appreciated...
duus
Well, there is a lot of yelling back and forth ... which is just fine with me. They are pointing to numerous things, from the obvious not he not-so-obvious. Ben has a QB rating of in the low 40s. Ben has 0 TDs passing. Cowher keeps making coaching mistakes. They have a bullseye on them. The receivers stink. Hines' hamstring is still hurting. On and on and on.Folks are upset. They are walking around with all these sad looks. I've said it before, and I'll say it again ... they often look as though someone has died when the Steelers lose. And they get in VERY bad moods. Sort of funny. Nothing more to their lives than a Steeler game each week. Cracks me up. In the end though, there is still this air of optimism with the 'ease' of the upcoming 3 games. But I guarantee you that they will start calling for someones head should they somehow find a way to lose to KC next week!!My favorite thing is definitely a Bengal win. But I have to admit, at least while I live in this ugly city, ... a Steeler loss makes for a pretty nice week too!!
Wisk
Duus!No calls in the "Steal City" for Batch yet?I mean...40 passer rating for Gentle Ben and 0 TDs and 9 INTs in his last 4 games. The Chargers had the Stillers right where you want them in the 4th Quarter....behind and force Ben to have to try to win it....throwing another DUCK for deciding INT. Are you still hearing fans trumpet the Ben "excuses" - accident, appendix, rusty? Surely that will get old soon in Pissburg! Losses will lead to impatience soon! GapControl
I am so happy! I can't find the words to say how happy I am. Big Ben and the Steelers look horrendous. Now, if Peyton Manning starts thowing interceptions everywhere I will be truly estatic.
ArmyBengal
I will say this, regardless of how Pittsburgh looked last night (for those that missed it, THEY LOOKED LIKE SH*T) I give mad credit to the Chargers !!! Their defense looked stout and Rivers has made a believer out of me. They will be a tough matchup for us with their running game !!!WHODEY !!! Is that in ENGLISH? I felt like I was listening to that character in the WATERBOY movie that talks gibberish! And I thought California schools were bad when I lived out there! Stripes
Shula's right... I think the local Steeler obsession needs to cool down a bit. While we revel in their struggles, the Ravens are alone in first.

Even I agree as well ... and I am surely one of the most obsessed!!! (that said ... you have to admit it sure does give a good overall feeling on Monday morning when the Steelers lose the day before)Looking forward to a nice Bronco win tonight! denverbengal
Looking forward to a nice Bronco win tonight!Amen to that brother!! Should be an interesting game, and I'm not talking about the anticipated play of the Broncos...probably the single most boring (but effective) team in the league. It will be raining with temps in the 30's turning to snow before the end of the game...not ideal conditions for McNair. I like the Broncs D, and a steady dose of Tatum (Taco) Bell. Run the ball, stop the run! Words to live by if the weather comes as advertised! Let's see who really can and who really can't.My guess? Both teams are exceptional vs the run, but Denver brings multiple backs and multiple styles that will wear on the Ravens, whereas the Ravens do not have the versatility running the ball. I think that will hurt them.Go Broncos!
derekshank
Ben has a QB rating of in the low 40s. Ben has 0 TDs passing. Cowher keeps making coaching mistakes. They have a bullseye on them. The receivers stink. Hines' hamstring is still hurting. On and on and on.Ben clearly stinks. The running game hasn't really been there, and the defense doesn't appear to be as good as last year, so Ben is cracking under the pressure. Make whatever excuses you want to... he's not the winner everyone thought he was.As for the Steelers having a "bullseye" on them.. you know, I can actually buy it. Think about the team that won last year. They were anything but dominant. They were 7-5, and had it not been for KC and SD finishing weak, the would have missed the playoffs entirely. They managed to squeak in, and were hot at the right time, but they were not the best team.Last night's game is a perfect example of being fortunate enough to be Super Bowl Champs without being the best team. Last year in SD they had to kick a FG with 6 seconds to go to win by 2 points. This year... they have a bullseye on them, and can't sneak by a decent opponent on the road. Sorry Steeler fans... no squeaking into the playoffs this year. It's a 2-horse race in the AFC North.
