walzav29
This is the exact guy that kills the Bengals. Fast as lightning with cutback ability. The run D has got to be fixed before Oct. 29th!

Big Sam is attracting attention, but our backers are not working off him yet. IMHO.
schweinhart
I'd say put Landon Johnson back in the middle where he does what he does best -- knife and angle into gaps. Regardless, it's hard to believe the Bengals will be able to stop the 3-headed run machine from Atlanta. There could be 80 points scored in that game.1st things 1st they got to stop Cadillac and the best way to do that is keep the D-line bunched so he can't get the quick hit into a crease. Force him to bounce out and they should be able to contain him.
bengalboomer7
I blame these plays on the DE, OLB and the safeties. The Bengals over pursue EVERY TIME. These cut back plays wouldn't happen if the DE and the OLB played their gap in the defensive scheme insetead of chasing the ball like they are.People need to get off of Sam Adams. his play doesn't show up in the stat sheet
ShulaSteakhouse
I get tired of the free-lancing the DE's do here, and inability of the LB's to do much of anything.I saw Landon make one tackle behind the LOS last week - other than that - they were nowhere to be found.I am really questioning Marvins' defensive coaching staff at this point, outside of the DB's. The personnel changes every year for 3 years, and the results are exactly the same - nearly last in the league in everything except turnovers. stilldiesel
I think the Steelers match up better against the Falcons then the Bengals. Just like I think the Bengals match up better against a team like the Jags than the Steelers. The Jags offense doesn't beat people up with the run game and if you can get a few big plays from your receivers you can beat them. The Falcons run game can maul people and that is why I think the Steelers match up better. It will be very interesting to watch you guys play Indy. If you can slow down Addai then I think you have a real chance to win that game. volcom69
I agree with bengalboomer i get sick and tired of watching everyone over pursue and not stay in there gap i dont understand if the players dont get it or if they are not teaching this very well or what the deal is, but no one stays where they are supposed to and thats why there are huge holes. I wonder if we were able to stop the run do u think we would be able to stop the pass without a pass rush that we dont have. Everytime someone passes the ball it seems someone is so wide open, so i think its more than just the run i think its the whole D. Hey im just happy we are 3-1 and if they can fix the D problem then who knows how far they can go.
