Stripes
3.2 ypc? You are just pulling numbers out of your ass now.Yes, I am. I've never seen Perry consistently run well between the tackles, and that's my estimate as to how well he'd perform in the starting role over the course of a season. Don't even give me the Colts game last season.
BengalszoneBilly
Can't believe what I'm reading. If healthy (and that's a big if) Perry produced an added dimension that will be too much for other teams to match. With his history, "other teams" won't have to match it for very long anyway. Sure, he has shown a few brief glimpses of some ability, but I'll get off his case once he puts in a full season playing in at least 12 of the 16 regular season games, and starts scoring a few touchdowns on a regular basis. Start earning some of that #1 pick money for a change why don't you? Until he does, I'm just going to call him what he is......Brokeback Perry! gbengals
Perry comming back is a good think. I like Watson but he really is not a break away threat like Perry is.
DontPushMe
So our physical precense would be a guy who isnt good enough to make an NFL roster? What the hell are you talking about? He is good enough to make an NFL roster. That's my point. He's currently on the Bengals roster. The Bengals have a top 2 offense. They dropped DeDe Dorsey and decided to keep Wilson... and Dorsey was promptly picked up by the Colts... the other team with a top 2 offense. My whole point is that if we let another team have a chance at Wilson, they'll take him. And he would probably get playing time with a decent number of teams. Did you watch any of the pre-season? Rudi only played a handful of downs... and Wilson promptly went into the game, and looked just as strong as Rudi... so yes... he'd be our physical presence. He'd do the job just fine. After Rudi, we have no other RB on the team, including Chris Perry, who is able to be that presence. I remember people saying this same thing last year when Wilson got cut. You can speculate that Wilson is good enough to be on an NFL roster, but the fact is, he was drafted in 2004, its 2006 and hes been active for 1 total nfl game. ArmyBengal
I'm still looking forward to seeing what a healthy Perry does for this offense and I hope to see it soon... I am a fan of Q. Wilson and love the depth he gives us, especially in the mode of a Rudi clone, but I would love to see him get his shot on another team, because he's not going to get it here as long as Rudi is healthy...WHODEY !!! Kirkendall
You guys are INSANE if you can't be fired up to have Perry back soon. This guy brings such an element to this team I'm not sure why we've lost so much faith in the guy.You can't blame Perry for SHOTTY medical advice. He was given bad advice at a time he could have recovered and been on the field NOW. So let's be fair to the guy -- at least this one time. But Perry raises the level of offense on this team. He was THIRD on the team in receptions -- better than Chris Henry.Seriously, Chad, TJ, Henry AND Perry? That's third down conversion GALORE! How could you not want that? Watson? Whatever. He can return kickoffs if Marvin loves him so much. Perry puts this offense through the roof!

Kazkal
The return of old Two Carry Perry means Quincy Wilson returns to the practice squadChris Perry has been far more productive than "Christian Choir Boy Hold Out For More Money because God is Good and God is Greedy" David Pollack. Oh, I know, everyone hates Perry for injury but lets look at number 1 pick David Pollack now.....forget perry held out?IR chatman activate perry keep him and wilson "shrug"
bengals4ever
Perry hasn't proven himself yet for the Bengals and he definitely has not lived up to his #1 pick status. Until he proves he can do it and shows the drive and desire count me as a nah-sayers towards Perry. I wish we would have kept Dorsey but that is long done. ArmyBengal
Dorsey > C. Perry when hell freezes over...All Dorsey has done is play well against a bunch of players in the pre season that aren't playing on a team any longer... That may be a little off, but you get my point... Dorsey has done nothing for the Colts up to this point. I will root for Dorsey in having a good career and am happy for him, but you just can't compare him to C. Perry...WHODEY !!!

ArmyBengal
Not claiming he has contributed ANYTHING this year, but his talent and what he adds to this offense is undeniable, "WHEN HEALTHY"... I'm more than willing to admit his health has been less than expected and his status as a 1st round pick is not where it needs to be. However, there's just no denying what the guy does for us on the field. All I'm saying is, be patient and if he comes back healthy, it's ON !!!WHODEY !!! Stripes
I have not been impressed with Perry's production in the least, but all the animosity directed his way seems unfair. It ain't his fault he was drafted in the first round (other than playing very well at Michigan), and I highly doubt he intended to get hurt every year. Send your complaints Marvin's way, or to the medical staff. He hasn't seen the field much, but when he has it has bolstered the offense greatly (as a backup/3rd down guy). A lot of people thought he'd bitch and moan about playing behind Rudi Johnson too, but we never heard a peep out of him. He's trying to get back on the field, and that's all I think we as fans can ask of him. He's not sneering at us from his living room couch while tearing open his paycheck envelope with an Xbox controller on his lap.
HairOnFire
I'll be very happy if Chris Perry comes back, but I won't be a bit surprised if he immediately gets dinged again. Simply put, he's too fragile to count on...and that includes as a replacement for Rudi should RJ get hurt. Because the way things have gone it's fair to say that the Bengals would have to be incredibly lucky to have Perry available at the same time their starting RB went down. Chris Perry adds depth only on paper.

Where has Perry been the this year? How has he contributed to this teams success at this point? Are you kidding me? First off, Perry isn't considered a roster spot until he comes off IR. How in the world would Dorsey dress up IF Perry is already out? Who cares if the guy dresses if he's a #4 RB... Perry's injury deal is a valid argument, no doubt. Only a fool would argue against it. However, the Bengals medical staff DID mis-diagnose his injury that forced him to get late off-season surgery. And if you need a reminder of his contributions, just look back to last season. THAT is waiting for you. Not some guy that could "at least dress." Perry makes a huge difference.

Do you actually think he would beat out Kenny Watson? We only dress 2 HBs and Jeremi Johnson on most days. He would be inactive on the sideline in street clothes if he was on the roster. Another thing, stop calling Quincy Wilson a Rudi clone, hes not. Rudi isnt a scrub.
