This pisses me off more than anything right now- freaking just beat the Super Bowl Chumps in Pittsburgh and now one of our players that even isn't playing right now takes all of the steam and steals the limelight again. I feel like we are back in summer when we had all of arrested overshadowing what was quickly becoming a miracle comeback by Carson. Freaking Odell, tired of this sh-t by some of these players, last thing we need is a ill pill running around. With Pollack's injury this left the door right open for Odell to come in and make a big impact again, instead he goes out and parties it up. If Pollack was healthy and this happened if I was Marvin I would tell him to ride the bench for the year and get his life back on track, but we may actually need him to play.

Lance is talking about it, but all the comments that I have heard generally are that Odell was the only one cited. It is not even official that Henry was present, just "reported by a witness at the scene." So could be mistaken, but in any event, I do not think that anyone can do anything if Henry was not directly cited.

You're probably right. Though with Henry's luck, he could be giving away dinner to the homeless and he gets caught giving food to the one homeless guy who's smoking dope and gets arrested.

That's right. The absolute WORST thing he did was get arrested for DUI. We are talking about something that will probably culminate into a misdermeanor conviction. Perspective: Did he kill someone. No. Did he hurt/injure someone? No. Did he damage or destroy any property whatsoever? Again the answer is No! (And don't give me that "Well he easily could have in his condition!" line of crap. Even stone cold sober there's a chance of having an accidentl) Even though he didn't play in it, he was out celebrating the Bengals big win with some teammates. The dumb@ss blew twice the legal blood alcohol limit when he already had two strikes in a program that could cost him millions of dollars for strike three! (Henry doesn't count, he was smart enough not to drive for a change). Show me one other person in Cincinnati with as much on the line when he sat behind the wheel bombed last night.

The guy with the Chris Henry icon from his "wild, wild west show" arrest, you mean. He's got his jersey on and everything. Just so you've got the record straight -- I went with Henry as my icon all last year after predicting he would be the s**t. So, when the crapstorm that was his offseason hit what I thought was rock bottom, I changed to his mugshot. At the time I thought it ironic, but you've added a layer to that. Don't try to mistake me for one of those "just as long as he performs on the field" guys -- I've been rocking this picture since April I think. I kept it there to remind myself of just how stupid he was being. $1 mil. talent with a 5 cent head, as it were.

And, again, just for the record -- I smell something about Odell's problems that I don't about Henry. I don't know what it is, but with the not reporting for camp and the terse nature of, not just this one, but a number of comments from ML, I just feel like something's not right here. On top of that, for whatever troubles Henry is having, he has had the dumb luck to simply spread his infractions out around a bunch of different things, so the league has some difficult calls to make as to suspension time. I definitely think Henry will be suspended and have been saying so ever since his Yosemite Sam impersonation. Odell is unfortunate enought to have repeated and consistent problems with the "substance abuse" portion of the NFL policies. As such, he's looking at a year suspension. I think Henry and Odell both get suspended, but I think Odell is going for a year. After that, no, I don't think he'll play as a Bengal again. Nothing inconsistent about any of that as far as I see it.

This is just sad. I hope he gets his sh*t together. I don't think he gets cut though. There's no reason to cut him this yr if he's suspended, and ML can look at how he acts in the offseason to make a decision on him. And as someone pointed out, cutting him may bring a grievance from the NFLPA. Just gotta hope he wakes up and realizes his opportunity here.
