How do we want the Bengals to act this week?

I'm not sure if I want trash talking or I don't. Is it bad if the Bengals are too tight for the game that they play too tight? If they talk are they too loose? I'm worried that the Bengals will get away from what got them there. You don't want the character of the team to change. They should do what they normally would. Talking checklist's, dances and so forth. Not because I like it, but because it's what they do.

This team has grown up a lot. I don't expect any trash talking before the game, at least not from the Bengals end. They can stay quiet until gametime and still play at their best.

I get the feel that they are acting differently this week than they have the past 2. Which is understandable. I think they have more talent that Pittsburgh. I feel that the high of beating Pittsburgh last year was too high and the low of losing Palmer was too low. They have to have confidence in themselves. They should. I really think this is where Palmer establishes himself as the eilte of the elite with his composure.

I want them to act like the BENGALS! (I won't mind if the physicality of the D looks very similar to what Jax looked like on Monday night!)

I would expect very similar performance to the KC and the Brownie games, with a lot more steeler week intensity and passion sprinkled in.

This game is huge... but the Bengals have shown that they aren't intimidated anymore. We put up 38 points on them in their house. The fear element is gone. Now, we're just going to go play football. No more worries about being too tight or too loose. We're experienced in winning now, so we know how to prepare for big games.

Their is a reason why this game is basically nationally televised. . the Bengals have something to prove, and the Steelers are trying to show them they still own them. . you think this won't get gritty or physical? I think you have had one too many 'grains of salt' up your nose. You only wish it was just Esiason and Collinsworth. I'm telling you ... take off the Black-N-Urine goggles and see the world for what it is. Have you ever gotten beyond Pissburgh? You know, if you break out of Urine Land, the world does have much to offer ... even to folks with a Pissburgh education. Try it.

As long as they don't come out flat or jittery, they'll be fine. Avoid the mistakes that classically happen in big rod games...red-zone turnovers, procedure penalties, and personal fouls. With two teams that are going to be so jacked up, these are the mental errors that could swing the game in one direction or the other.

Yeah but you do have to admit, that really does get to us in a bad way man. It's going to be like that everytime they beat us from here on out, and it's just a slap in the face to the Bengals and all the fans. If we want it we have to take that s**t back! Cowher has pretty much admitted that this was a lapse in judgment. At least he understands that. No way anybody could be surprised that it's basically the ultimate bulletin board (video screen) material this week and at the season's end.

Motivation is good, but we need to simply try to exert our will. Run the ball sufficiently to set up the pass. Pass the ball successfully enough to gain balance. And play pressure d. Gotta get to bb early and let him know he's gonna hurt all day long. I'm pretty much of a mindset to bring guys to fill the lanes and get hands in his face at the expense of coverage.
