Jeffro35744
Does anyone know when all the power rankings come out?
derekshank
Sometime later today. They wait until they can get a good grasp on the Monday night game(s), and then look around the league.

Shouldn't take long to get a grasp on that. That will go along with GB #31, and TB #30.From the looks of things, any of those 3 get pounded by last year's Texans. I've never seen 3 teams that bad in the NFL at the same time, I don't think.

You don't drop a team that far off because of one really bad game.I agree Oakland will be 32nd, and GB 31st... but Cleveland could very well be 30th. They lost to the Saints at home! It's going to be another long season. We thought they were going to be improved. Maybe on defense... but their offense is worse than ever. I'm wondering about NO, though. Brees at QB is a big upgrade over Martin Lawrence, and a backfield of Bush and McAllister is absolutely sick. Combine that with a coach who might know what the hell he's doing, and you never know. So maybe that wasn't only Cleveland sucking.
bengalboomer7
I'll relay this just for fun. Last night, during the pre game show, YOung, Irvin, and Jackson picked their top five teams. Irvin and Jackson had Cincy @3 and Young had us @

Defense was awful last year, and they only lost players. All their upgrades came on the offensive side of the ball. So you can argue that teh Cleveland defense held it's own... but there is absolutely no excuse for only putting up 14 points at home against a very bad defense, when you're playing from behind the entire game. That is a recipe for a big game on offense... and the Browns were shut out in the 1st half.

Tasher
Cant wait for the CBS Poll. They have us at 11 to start the season???Four/Five seems about right, although I like the ESPN comment on the Top Five Defense. Bring it on and we will continue to vault up the charts, not to mention through the season and (dare I say it?) post season!Who Dey!tough Schedule? Heck yeah, bring it on! Scared is what the other guys are on the flip side of the ledger!Added:Fox has us at 3.http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/powerRankings

Stripes
I figured we'd be in the 3-4 range. If/when we demolish the Browns next week, we might have a 1 vs. 2 matchup (though it's much less meaningful than the college rankings obviously). derekshank
Wow!Fox has us at 3!http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/powerRankingsHmm... this quote hurts their credability a little. Maybe it was the home crowd; Maybe it was the national spotlight; Maybe it was having "The Bus" back in the house -- whatever the reason, the Steelers were absolutely dominant on Thursday night. The offense looked formidable; the defense looked fabulous. And it was all capped off with a kiss from Joey Porter. Were they impressive? sure... but I wouldn't call it "absolutely dominant." They were the better team, but with as many unknowns surrounding the Dolphins, that shouldn't have come as a shocker.

PMThor
I gotta say that I believe all of these rankings having Indy so high are wrong.Indy has absolutely no running game, and it is all about Peyton connecting with his WRs. One hit wonder, and they will get exposed because of it. Just wait and see.Damn though, the AFCN is looking strong.
