HoosierCat Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 http://www.kicksnlicks.com/whichcoachwillbefiredfirst.htmlI just can't see Marty going down first. Look at where Cowher rates tho!My money is on Billick. Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 http://www.kicksnlicks.com/whichcoachwillbefiredfirst.htmlI just can't see Marty going down first. Look at where Cowher rates tho!My money is on Billick.I'll take Parcells and put Billick at #2. I don't buy Belichick or especially Lovie Smith. He hits all the obvious ones. In addition, I'd put Andy Reid on the list if the Eagles don't perform. Jim Mora Jr. should be up there, word is Blank expects results after signing a bunch of overrated veteran FAs. I might think about Jack Del Rio. Quote
MacD BengalFan Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 Bilick. His ego will get in the way after the new owner asked him to tone it down. Oh, the mounting looses and poor play will also help with the door slamming on his way out. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 7, 2006 Author Report Posted September 7, 2006 I think Belichick could go 0-16 and keep his job. Lovie, tho...he's been taking some heat up here in the Chicago metro area. He's been whacked for running a lax camp, not sorting out positions (esp. QB), the whole dumb benson-leaves-the-sidelines thing, and basically there are a lot of locals who think the bears have failed to improve this offseason. If he wins I think it all goes away, but if the bears stumble he might find his seat gettin' a mite warm. Quote
Stripes Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 I'll go with Billick. I highly doubt Schottenheimer, two years removed from a Coach of the Year, is in any danger. Nor do I see him retiring. Quote
aaronburr Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 This seems kinda crazy to me, because I'm having a hard time imagining anybody leaving mid-season. I think it would take a major implosion for that to happen (like the Vikings last year), not just a promising team failing to live up to expectations.I suppose the inevitable T.O. implosion could cause waves -- people are saying that Jerry Jones will pick the player over the coach. But even if Philip Rivers and/or Steve McNair lay eggs, I don't see any consequences prior to the end of the season. But it would be fun to see Billick get a taste of his own medicine. I already predicted McNair throwing 3 interceptions against the Bengals. Maybe if we cranked that up to 5 or 6...and McNair gets benched mid-game...and causes a scene on the sidelines...and Boller throws 2 more interceptions...I can dream, can't I? Quote
ArmyBengal Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Yep, Billick's days are numbered if this McNair (Oh I'm sorry, Savior) thing doesn't work out. After that, it's hard to say...WHODEY !!! Quote
Edogger Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Yep, Billick's days are numbered if this McNair (Oh I'm sorry, Savior) thing doesn't work out. After that, it's hard to say...WHODEY !!!I would have to agree slightly with everyone saying Billick, but isn't he part owner? Or am I thinking of someone else? And as much as I would hate to say it. I think Andy Reid's seat is starting to heat up a little bit. Quote

Kazkal Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Brian Billick no doubt if they have a losing seasonGreen could if cardinals finish worse then last year even though things are almost in place for them.Alot of those are freaking a jokeLovie smith and Tom Coughlin ?wtf?jon gruden? Only if he decides to walk away from the game.I think Belichick could go 0-16 and keep his job. Lovie, tho...he's been taking some heat up here in the Chicago metro area.
