Tasher Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 "...things in Sam's past I have had to deal with and coach out of him, I have not experienced the "lazy Sam Adams cause I know right where to keep my foot, right where Sam Adams needs it, to keep him going. And I look forward to doing that"Whoo Ahhh! From the news conf this afternoon. Are you ready fo some football? Quote

BNGLS05 Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 I have a feeling Adams is gonna help our run defense emmensley.....I thin we'll end up in the top ten, espeacially with our speedy line backers. Quote
Kazkal Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 I think just our line in general helps run D using Brob as DE + having justin hell JT may look decent this year Quote

membengal Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 It sounds like, from that article, that Adams' month of personal fitness workouts has really paid off. I know it was fashionable among the national media to act like his signing would have a small impact on the team, but I think they have rocks in their heads.Wherever Adams goes, stout run D follows. I think that is not an accident. This team's glaring weakness has been addressed the moment he takes the field. He will draw the attention of opposing offenses who have to account for him, and every moment they spend worrying about him is a moment they cannot concentrate on whatever else the Bengals throw at them.Thrilled he's here. Can't wait to see his effect upon Justin and B-Rob and Geathers and Pollack. Can't wait to see what Peko learns from him. Hell, can't wait to see how freakin' stout the D-tackle rotation will be with S. Smith and Peko behind Thornton and Adams. This is the most optimistic I have been about a Bengals D in about two decades. Thrilled. I may be more excited about Adams' debut Monday than Carson's return... Quote

Spor_tees Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 I think just our line in general helps run D using Brob as DE + having justin hell JT may look decent this yearKaz is the period key on your keyboard broken? I think someone said it before...but it is like trying to put together a jigsaw puzzle sometimes when reading your post! Quote
PMThor Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 Last year, teams would start any run play up the middle three yards downfield just from their offensive line push. That will most definitely not be the case this year. That is the difference. Quote
