I honestly haven't checked the street side yet as I have just been trying to get a more reasonable price from friends, business associates, etc. It seems that at this point, they are all holding pretty tight with the tickets. I usually end up finding something for free or close to it by the time the game rolls around (i.e. someone has to go out of town on business, etc.). In any case, if I get wind of the street price, or other buying opportunities, I will pass this on to you guys. Happy to help if I can ... always nice to get some Orange and Black in this town, even if it is only for a day!

HairOnFire
During that interview Woodson asked Palmer what game he would want to play this season IF he knew he could only play one game all season. Palmer gave a short two word answer. "Pittsburgh. There."

Stripes
I have a feeling Palmer's words reflect the feelings of most of the Bengals locker room. I don't think there's any way in hell he misses that game. I can't wait.
duus
Reading all the comments in this thread makes me wish even more I had a way to get hold of a few dozen tickets and pass them along for a big old BengalsZone victory party in one of the sections of Heinz Field. I can dream, can't I? Well, the party might not occur (barring some miracle), but the victory surely will. We need no miracle there.

Hell i may just start my ticket search now..You guys should attend that game. Every year I guy to Heinz Field for a couple of games and almost never see opposing fans in any large numbers. I go on the road for a Steeler games and there are tons of Steeler fans. I talked to a ticket broker who told me that if people from an opposing city buy 2000 tickets to a Steeler home game half of those are Steeler fans. Davicster
Duus, We have finalized our group at four people. Based on your scalping experience...do you think there will be a decent amount of tickets on the street? They are currently $300 per seat on ebay/Stub-Hub...we have to be able to do better than that on the streets.....your thoughts?Also--- do we have to buy a lot pass or can we just pull up to any lot close for tailgating in the AM--- say 8ish?Thanks!VicFeudMost of this small article is a repeat of many things we have heard over and over again, but I love the concluding quote concerning the 9/24 matchup:"I wonder if the National Guard will be busy that day?"Bring it. Davicster
Duus, Do you know how tailgating works @ Heinz field? In cincinnati, there are a number of lots that you can just pull into-- lay down $30-40 and tailgate away. I am hearing that ALL of the lots in the Heinz field area are prepaid and that I have to have a lot pass before going. Is this true? Mosca
I haven't been to a game for a while, but when I lived in Pittsburgh I went to every Steelers game without a ticket for about 10 years in a row. Make a sign that says, "I need 2". I would advise keeping your Bengals colors in the car/truck until you have secured tickets. This isn't about pride, it's about economics.Go to the game, relax, tailgate. Find some other Bengals fans, have fun. About half an hour before the game, make your way to where the folks getting off the busses are partying. Invariably someone missed the bus or was supposed to show up but didn't. Just start asking. Be nice, be polite, keep asking. Peopel who say "No" a half hour before the game might say "Here!" 5 minutes before the game. As Bengals fans, obviously you'll have a better chance at an out-of-town bus. What usually happens is that someone will sell you a couple at face value, just to keep them away from the scalpers. If you don't mind missing the kickoff, sometimes you can get a ticket for free. Once in a while. Don't count on it, but it happens. If all else fails, try walking up to the gate with a hundred dollar bill instead of a ticket, see what happens. Be prepared to tip the usher at the seats a twenty. That used to work at Three Rivers (but back when I used to do it, a twenty got you in the gate and a five got you a seat). Have fun, ignore the jerks who hassle you, get home safe, do it again next year. Good luck.Tom
Blitzburgh XL Champs
While I may be a Steelers fan first, but I'm also football fan as well (meaning I dig all NFL fans). This is why I feel compelled to warn you for your own health and safety .... not to come to Pittsburgh in September. I'm not one to advocate violence, but I can't control your destiny either should you decide to make the trip. I'm so not kidding either. Admit it, your team and your fans took disrespecting to a whole new level with your antics here last year. Then to carry on and act like shameless whining crybabies all through the off-season by blaming the Steelers for what was deemed by your own organization and Carson Palmer himself as an unfortunate accident. It's football for christ sakes! ... these things happen. Do you honestly believe your pathetic run defense was worthy of post season play? .. Your team would have gotten destroyed the following week. If your team did it's job, you would have beaten the Bills in your own house which would have all but ensured you would not have been paid a visit by us, but you failed. I think what really made this a powder keg issue is the fact that your fans disrespected the Bus (a future HOF'er no less) a few weeks ago on national TV. I think a little bit of "booing" would have been expected and acceptable in a competitive kind of way, however your drunk fans carried it on and on to the point of disturbing the segment that NBC Sports was trying to broadcast. If the Bengal fans had any class or sobriety about them, they might have thought about cheering for Bettis' career accomplishments and showed some support for your AFC divisional brothers. The Ravens and the Steelers have had a heated and hated rival for a long time now ... but when one team goes down and is considered "out", the other teams fans cheer for the others knowing they're carrying the torch moving forward and representing the division. It's clear that Bengal fans either can't understand this protocol, or just can't bring themselves to displaying such class. In closing, I will tell you that Steeler fans have an insane rage about them when it comes to Bengal fans now. There's no question they want to destroy you every and any chance they get ... no matter how sorry of a record or franchise you may have had in your history. There's absolutely no question that you won't be met with flowers and chocolates if you decide to travel here. I think many NFL fans around the league feel the Bengal fans, in general, got a little too loud and arrogant too quick. This is only exacerbated by the circus antics of some of your players. Especially when your team has done nothing to earn that type of "RESPECT" as of yet. Do your division rivals a favor, don't tell us when you should be respected .... let us tell you when you've earned it. Perhaps then a torch will be passed. Until then, work on earning it ... GO STEELERS!

duus
I think that was one of the more stupid rants I have read in a long time. I'm stupider for having read it. Once again, the 6th grade education of a 30 year old Pissburgher comes out. Sometimes I want to cry, but then I figure what the heck, just allow them to wade in their own ignorance. Ooooh ... scared. Mean old Pissburghers ... they are so scarey ... ooooh.
