schweinhart
Too bad really because the guy was snakebite here. I believe he played the 2004 opener at center with a torn ligament before he finally had to bail and the Bengals ended up calling Jerry Fontenot during the middle of a hurricane to fill in for him and Braham vs. the Dolphins on that ESPN night game. His 2nd shredded knee came when Chris Perry tried to run right up his a$$. Fare well Larry Moore.
HairOnFire
Might as well slip this nugget here as it concerns the O-Line in a roundabout way. I'm guessing the following signing should help grease the skids for Levi Jones or Eric Steinbach.Lions | Backus signed to new six-year contractThu, 13 Jul 2006 16:04:45 -0700Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Detroit Lions have signed their franchise player, OT Jeff Backus, to a new six-year contract. The contract is worth nearly $40 million and includes about $16 million in bonuses. The deal makes Backus the sixth-highest paid offensive lineman in the NFL. The team was battling a deadline to have him signed by 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, or else he would have had the franchise designation to him for the rest of the deal. ChadJohnson-85
MOORE RELEASED: The Bengals also announced the termination of guard Larry Moore's contract, releasing him to free agency. Moore was an eighth-year NFL player for the Bengals in 2005, but he played in only four games, missing the final 12 due to a right knee dislocation suffered Oct. 2 vs. Houston. He played 13 games for the Bengals in 2004, and played previously for Washington and Indianapolis. http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5328

Who Dey!I love how it's a footnote as part of other articles dedicated entirely to such problems.
