I don't think the Bengals would pick him up for a starters pay nor will he be willing to take back up pay. Especially what the Bengals were willing to pay for a back up...wasn't that around $1 million or so. I can't remember.

I bet he was transferring to/from Baltimore or even Cleveland (I would think he would have flown into Cleveland though). You never know...maybe Millen up in Detroit wanted to give him a look.

I don't know that the Bengals' are happy with Johnson or Meyer at this point, they signed Wright and Johnson for relative peanuts, and could probably afford him - seeing that the market for him is just not there now.

He would take a back-up role, because he has to. At this point, I can't think of one team where he would have any sort of legitimate chance to start now other than here early on.

He's a better passer than Wright, but potentially just as frustrating to watch.

As a #2 or #3, you could do a lot worse.

It probably just means he was flying Delta to/from anywhere on the eastern seaboard. At this point, we have enough QBs, they could take up all 53 roster spots themselves.

Stating that he isn't their guy would require Billick to admit that he was ever wrong about anything, which his ego can't handle. Remember, this is the guy they traded up to pick at least half a round too high.
