Way to overlook the fact that one of those losses came in a game he threw ONE pass in that was completed for the longest completion in franchise history. He played 2 snaps that game. I think this woke us up and we were relentless after that and we didn't lose another game for the rest of the Super Bowl run.You had a whole lot more going for your team than motivation that helped you get that ring. Things such as taking out pro bowlers knees, horrible horrible refing, and having a guy that picked up the fumble just happen to be the same guy who had gotten stabbed in the leg the night before. It seems like the Steeler fans don't have anything to poke fun of about the Bengal player's rough and rowdy pasts.It should at least be a nice little distraction in the locker room. Yes, the refs were bad, but they were bad ALL YEAR. Plus the Seahawks made mistake after mistake and the Steelers just outplayed them.I mean, I had to read that same nonsense when OSU beat Miami back in '02 and I remembered it only made the people saying/typing it sound/look stupid. The point is, it's a lame argument and an asinine statement to make and it makes people roll their eyes.[/rant]Um...yeah, what he said...Only with more attitude! I really hate when people/teams have to find a scape goat for a loss. Also, I have been really surprised by the news conferences for the NBA Playoffs. The guy is remarkably competitive and a true team leader. Last, somebody needs to remind Larry Foote what it sounds like when a player choses to baby and cry, because Palmer isn't whining or making excuses. He's calling the Steelers out.Is it wise to call the Super Bowl champions out? At the very least, could you people please admit the fact that, regardless of "progression" or "potential" or any other buzz word that surrounds this team, Pittsburgh did beat you twice, and they did win the Super Bowl? I'm not sure wisdom has anything to do with it. Aren't we talking about a war of words between two football teams....in May? Regardless, Palmer stated flatly that the reason he felt the way he did was due to him wanting the championship Pittsburgh earned. He gives the Steelers credit for their achievment, but no love....and precious little respect. And that shows a complete lack of fear. Why would I have a problem with that?
