B24
? hes spouting on bengals.com about how he loved the pick from the start. If I'm not mistaken, DPM has loved the Chris Perry pick from the beginning. He doesn't like Rudi Johnson though.

bengalboomer7
You can look through every post by any poster. Don't know how far you'd go to porve a point, but you can do that.
HairOnFire
You aren't wrong, Kaz. I'm not going to find the link for you, I'm forbidden to bash Pushy by the overlords, but the information you seek is somewhere on this board...as well as a few others. Simply put, Pushy blew a forehead immediately after the Perry pick was made, and he wrote on the Huddles board that the pick was so stupid the Bengals should have just let the pick pass them by. But to be perfectly fair Pushy quickly recanted. The reasons for his total flip/flop aren't clear, but in fairly short order Pushy drank deeply from the bucket-O-kool-aid and in his opinion Perry quickly became a god-in-waiting, held back only by back to back record setting rushing performances by Rudi Johnson...and the raging yeast infection Perry developed in his smelly Kajina. Ahhhhhh, good times.

Spor_tees
Well I still think Two-Carry-Perry sucks! And until he does something to prove to me otherwise, he is a bust. For any positive someone can give to me about him, I can give you 2 negatives. Let's send him back to Miss-Again where he belongs. P.S. I'm not even a Buckeyes fan. Bobcat Bengal
DPM is my friend, so I'll stick up for him in his absence. He originally wanted Stephen Jackson or Kevin Jones like everyone else, but he still liked it.He's not from Ohio so he doesn't have that Michigan bias like some Bengals fans do.Pretty much been the biggest supporter of him, even through all the strife. He even drafted him in our Fantasy Football league, so take it how you wanna take it....Now, he doesn't care much for Rudi, however....that's another story. HairOnFire
DPM is my friend, so I'll stick up for him in his absence. And I'll stick up for his continued absence. Seriously, I haven't missed him a bit. And how funny is it that he's taken his Perry/Rudi rant to yet ANOTHER message board? How many does that make? How many does that make?Im around, just not as much as its a boring part of the offseason. And no, i havent taken it to another message board. What caused him to do this was me saying that i think Guycheck is a better center than Wilkerson. So his defense to that was bringing this up. ChadJohnson-85
IMO I think Marvin should trade Perry for a 2nd round draft pick for next year . Unless we start using Perry more like we did Rudi. I wouldnt be suprised if Marvin did trade Perry.
ArmyBengal
I can't see Perry going anywhere and while he wasn't my favorite pick that year and was quite furious about it, it's past and to tell you the truth, I like our backfield with Rudi and Perry in it. Perry has speed and hands and if healthy, our backfield has no issues. Quite honestly, I don't see why the hatred has lasted this long. My continued hatred has been aimed directly at the defensive line and it will continue to stay on that side of the ball until we see something different "ON THE FIELD", so don't give me this crap about who we signed, because they haven't done sh*t yet. Oh yeah, I'll be MORE than ready to eat crow on that one.WHODEY !!!
bengalboomer7
It may be the offseason, but I'm chalking this up as an "official victory" for DontPushMe. Two years after the fact and this is still a debate, now starting to rage on as if it's that very draft day. Bravo, Pushy, Bravo!
Spor_tees
I'd chalk this one as a victory for Chris Perry. The guy is making first round cash playing a 4th-5th rounders role on the team. The guy probably has the highest $$$-TD ratio of any skill position player on the team! Let's just give him $100,000 for every TD he scores...wait we can't do that, because that would be below league minimum.
bengalboomer7
With Carson's uncertainty, I really think this is the year Perry becomes valuable, and we'll get too many threads saying I told you so. I'm still in the group that want's Carson to sit out intil the bye, and i look for Brat to finally wise up a tad, realize the RB's he has, and run it about 45 times a game. But as long as we're winning, I'll take it, Pushy
