Kazkal
Should change chris perry back to 26 and give him 23 so have 23 and 24 as our starting cb's next year I'll say 3 INT's non starting 5 if somehow beats james out by week
WretchedOne
Don't really know.Don't really care. He's a ballhawk though and he'll be fun to watch.
bengalboomer7
This is hard, especially depending on how much he play's. When it comes to Joseph, I look directly at Kiewan Ratliff to get my answer. Can Kiewan be our nickel corner (I'm doubtful)What Ive always wanted to do with Kiewan is make him a full time safety. He's a good tackler and really good in run support. I just don't think he has the straightaway speed to be a corner.I think Joesph will spend the entire year at the #3 corner spot, and I agree, two int's
derekshank
We'd have to tell Ratliff to put on some serious weight to play Safety. He's only 185. He would need a minimum of 10 more lbs, and ideally more like 20-30 lbs to me a SS. I just don't see it... and am against moving him to FS if it means moving Madieu to SS. Madieu could certainly handle the SS position... but has the potential to be something really special at FS.As for Joseph... there is no way to tell how many Int's hell have. He'll probably be our nickle back to start the season. If he doesn't have the skills as a 1st rounder to start over Ratliff immediately, then the pick was a reach.I also suspect he'll be starting over Tory by week 10 if not earlier... and since QB's won't like throwing it Deltha's way, he should get his opportunities, but they are still hard to come by. I'd be really happy with 3 for a rookie who won't most likelt won't be starting the whole season.
The_Next_Big_Thing
I predict no interceptions for Joseph this year. He'll be riding the pine and inactive more often than not.

So you don't think that our 1st round CB will be good enough to replace the likes of Bauman, Body, or Brooks? I think he's better than Ratliff this very instant... because Ratliff hasn't amounted to much... and 1st round CB's are usually expected to start. He won't have that pressure, so you might be right about riding the pine except on passing downs... but to expect our 1st round pick to be inactive indicates that you feel it was a terrible reach, which would set you apart from almost every expert and most of the fans on this board. ShulaSteakhouse
Ideally he's an immediate upgrade at the nickel CB spot and a potential replacement for Tory later this year or next, depending on how things pan out.I also agree than Keiwan is just too small for Safety, he makes some nice open field tackles - but he has to dive at guys' ankles to do it. He's an ideal CB and not much more.I like Keiwan as a value mid-round pick still, and think he's an excellent #4 CB.Finally we're seeing some depth at DB/CB - although it's still lacking at Safety if anyone gets hurt. KK and Mitchell - ugh.

He is a very good backup... but he's a backup. If both our safeties get hurt again, I agree with your "Ugh," but Madieu and KK, or even Dexter and KK won't be the end of the world. If he doesn't have the skills as a 1st rounder to start over Ratliff immediately, then the pick was a reach. they're about 20 picks apart ratliff was a high 2nd rounder, and is now going into his 3rd year in the the system...plus playing the position for about 20 games...you're insane if you thin Joseph is a reach cause he can't beat out another young corner whose already in that position, right away.Look at Adam Pacman jones he want #6 to TEN last year and was owned week in and week out, I bet he locks it down this year though. Experience is everything in the NFL.
DontPushMe
Who knows? Two or three, I'd imagine. Anyone have any clue what # he'll wear?He took #22. Check bengals.com under rosters it has all of the rookies numbers.I think Joseph and Ratliff will split at nickle/dime this year. Ratliff doesnt have the ability to be a long term starter so hopefully by the time James starts slowing down again (like he does every year) Joseph will be ready to start.I think the plan for 07 is for O'Neil and Joseph to be starting on the outside with Ratliff playing nickle. To bad he couldn't pick 1#.
BengalszoneBilly
I predict no interceptions for Joseph this year. He'll be riding the pine and inactive more often than not.I have to agree here. I say he starts in his sophomore season, and gets 3-4 interceptions.
Kazkal
I doubt he's inactive all that much I agree not a starter mybe not even nickle right away but he will be actived on game day

kingwilly
joseph should be brought along slowly...no need to crispify him early...he is young and needs to build up to starting...Tory will be ok for a bit longer...
Kazkal
Agreed but still nothing wrong with using him in dime and possible knickle if he earns it or a gunner might as well use his 4.31 speed
Mondo
Zero would be a safe guess.I guess 3!

I can't figure out which is more unlikely, that a first round pick would be zero help his first year, or that he would miraculously supplant a Pro-Bowler a year later. If he hasn't beat out Ratliff/Bauman/Body by Week 6, we blew that pick.
