MacD BengalFan
Is this something we can depend on or is this just a good run that will suddenly end and rip our hearts. I am trying to stay positive and believe this is a trend that will continue for the rest of the year. But everyone knows the recent history of the Reds in that they come out hot the first couple months of the season, then cool off in June and fall to last by August. The last time they started out this hot, they won the World Series in 1990.
BengalszoneBilly
The last time they started out this hot, they won the World Series in 1990.Actually the 1990 edition of the Cincinnati Reds may have been a little hotter, even if for nothing more than spending every day of the season, going wire to wire in 1st place. I still have the VHS tape sold after that season. Here's another parallel if I'm not mistaken. As it was with Lou Pinella in 1990, Jerry Narron is begininng his 1st full season as the manager of the Cincinnati Reds, but that's likely as far as the parallels go between that team and the one playing now. bengalboomer7
Either way, it's fun to be a Reds fan right now
San Antonio Bengal
The difference between the 1990 team and this one still is pitching, especially the bullpen. Don't get me wrong -- it's wonderful to see such an improvement in the team. Hopefully they can keep it up.
