A local TV station reported tonight that Chris Henry is no longer under investigation for the alleged sex crime. Their story says that Henry loaned his credit card to a friend who rented a hotel room. Allegedly a sex crime was commited at that hotel and Henry's credit card linked him into the investigation. The story goes on to say that it now appears that Henry was not at the hotel and was not involved in the incident at all.

Regardless, trouble seems to follow this guy.

"Trouble"? Was that his name? I wonder if Henry's other friends were nearby, "Bad Break" and "Wrong Place Wrong Time".

Some wise man said you judge a man by the friends he keeps. Or something like that. If he's "innocent" this time, it's hardly validation that Henry won't be a thorn in the team's side as long as they keep him on the roster.

Local 12 was investigating this story all day long Wednesday. Team officials tell Brad they have been made aware of the investigation. After conversation with both investigators and Chris Henry, team officials believe he was not involved in any criminal activity, and have been led to believe at this time he will not be charged with any crime.

Henry was implicated in this investigation, because he allegedly gave his credit card to a friend to use at a Covington hotel this weekend. When the complaint, involving a crime of sexual nature, was filed by a female, the credit card led police to Henry. He was not at the hotel when police contacted him.

Yeah Henry has to start hanging out with better people, and the Bengals' need to step in and support that somehow.

I would feel A LOT better knowing where he was when this happened. They need to say where he was...was he at his house? With other friends? Put him somewhere else and leave no though that he could have been at that hotel.

I wish that would be reveled, then that 5% of "I don't know" can go away.

As good as he is, how many more times is his stupidity condoned? He's getting to be a PR chore and a black eye on the organization.

With 3 more possible WRs added through the draft, Henry may have already had one foot out the door before this. Only problem is he's a damn good WR and if the Bengals don't keep him around, no doubt other teams will pounce to get him.

Well, either way he needs to take a good, hard look around him. But whether he will now, any more than he apparently has (read: hasn't) in the wake of the last two incidents, I dunno.

The girl who was at the hotel can clear CHenry if he was not there...they should get her to say what happened if it was him or a friend...CHenry should change his friends but that is easier said than done...it is tough to get rid of childhood friends, but he needs to see the big picture, and realize he may be jailed because of what his friends do...

Believe what you want. But the incident, which reportedly happened at some point last weekend, goes a long way in explaining the Bengals' eyebrow-raising choices of 3 WRs to finish off the draft. I doubt there are any plans to dump Henry right now, but his butt is very deep in the doghouse, I'd imagine, and I think that if by the end of training camp they feel comfortable with someone else, they won't hesitate to show Henry the door.

I only have to consider that if he ALLOWS these people to latch on to him, and then HANGS OUT with them, it's HIS FREAKING PROBLEM.

Hes only been convicted of possession. Thats it. Innocent until proven guilty. He hasn't earned the benefit of doubt right now but -so far- he hasnt been found guilty of more than a minor misdemeaner.

We have all had friends with questionable character.

All I know is he needs to take care of his life. So far it doesn't seem like he is in control of his social life. Lets hope he can see the light before its too late. Too much of a promising career. Needs a little mentoring from a good source.
