Bengals.com discussed the Linebacker position today...

http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5218

My question is "IF" we were to wait until later to look at any LB's, who (IF YOU READ THE LINK) do you like or dislike as discussed ??

Being a Buckeye fan, I absolutely love the thought of Schlegel in the later rounds. I think the guy did well next to Hawk, but he was making plays left and right all season long... Just thinking...

WHODEY !!!

I'm Happy to hear that I think we have a really good LB corps with decent depth

Landon is worthy starter and when allowed stick to weak side I think he'll be a stud...I'd also like see caleb get chance even if its just takes landons place as the depth guy / backup all 3 spots

I'm not sure Schlegel will be drafted, but if not he'd be an excellent free agency option. Others that'd fit my fancy could be Rocky McIntosh (Miami, FL) or John Alston (Standford). Both have pretty good speed, and can tackle with the best of 'em.

I think Jon Alston would be a great on Day 2. Very fast, smart player. He's another LB/SS tweener, though. I'm not sure Marvin wouldn't want to develop him more at Safety.

I like Brian Iwuh and Jason Hunter.

Jason Hunter played DE for Appalachian State. Here are his proday results:

Hunter (6-4¼, 232) ran his 40s in 4.55 and 4.53 seconds. He also ran the short shuttle in 4.23 and the three-cone drill in 6.93. In addition, he had a 34½-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-2 broad jump and 22 bench presses.

Brian Iwuh was a safety for Colorado. Here are his proday resuls:

Iwuh (6-0, 227 pounds) had a problem with a hamstring and didn't run, but he did do position drills. Update: Iwuh worked out March 27 at Houston's Pro Day. He weighed 224 pounds -- 10 fewer than he did at the Combine. He twice ran the 40 in 4.66 seconds. He also ran the short shuttle in 4.32 and the three-cone drill in 7.27. In addition, he had a 34-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-10 broad jump.

Both would be projects, but have high potential and could be special teams beasts right away. They're are perfect late round sleepers.
