princeton
according to the draft pick values, our first and 3rd rounders are about equal to the 18th overall pick.so, say on Saturday someone surprising drops to 18-- Mike Huff? Broderick Bunkley? Haloti Ngata? Ernie Sims? Vernon Davis?is there a player that you'd cough up that 3rd rounder to get?Is there a player for whom you could see the Bengals giving up that 3rd rounder? bengalboomer7
Simply put...No. There's not enough difference in talent between 18 to 32 to just trade up six or eight spots.i probably wouldn't even do it if it could get us into the top ten. Now, if they fall in love with a guy(Marshal, Lawson, Hali, Kiwi, etc, etc) I can see them maybe trying to move up and packaging that first pick seventh rounder. But who'd take that, and it's just not Marvin's style.
San Antonio Bengal
No. I don't see anyone being that critical to the team to warrant trading a 3rd round pick only to move up 6 spots.
WretchedOne
If Ngata fell far, I think Marvin would highly consider it.For the Bengals, I think Ngata would be the only player really worth trading up for.
Stripes
I don't think Marvin would put much thought into it for any player, even if Mario Williams were to fall out of the top ten. I wouldn't want us to do so either.
BTG
I wouldn't mid seeing us trade Brian Simmons, our first rounder, and our fourth rounder to someone like Green Bay or SF to take AJ Hawk. But then again, I'm a huge Ohio State fanatic and it's going to be hard for me to root against the guy regardless of who he plays for.... Also, if San Francisco manages to land Hawk AND Whiter or Carpenter, I'm switching loyalties. But to answer the actual question, no, I wouldn't trade 1st and 3rd for six spots. We could pick up a good TE/CB/DT/DE in the third.
ArmyBengal
There are so many different variations to a trade when you start looking at packaging players, but that gets tricky and when it's all said and done, I still think Marvin will keep his picks (if not get more) and work the defensive issues. Well, at least I hope that's the way it goes !!!WHODEY !!!

DesperateDerelict
is there a player that you'd cough up that 3rd rounder to get?Is there a player for whom you could see the Bengals giving up that 3rd rounder? Two entirely different questions.1) is there a player that you'd cough up that 3rd rounder to get? Super Mario, Davis, Hawk2) Is there a player for whom you could see the Bengals giving up that 3rd rounder? NO!

It wouldn't surprise to see us trade up for another TE
