GO85CHAD
who do you guys think each team will pick in the first round?
Stripes
The Browns and Ravens will probably both go after defensive line help. I could see Ngata and Bunkley going to them one after another. If any of the three quarterbacks falls out of the top ten, I doubt they make it past Boller-ville. The Steelers are in position to draft just about anybody. I could see them looking to replace Randle-El with maybe Sinorice Moss. They could also shore up the O-line with Mangold or grab a linebacker like Carpenter. If he's available, LenDale White could end up a Steeler.I'm gonna go ahead and stick this in the Draft Forum. You should check out all the member mock drafts in that forum (as a subforum) for other folks' projections for the rest of the North. Tackles are gone at #12, and throw in the possiblity of Winston Justice, OT, USC if the top three QBs and top two DTs are gone by the time the Ravens select. Stripes
Thanks, Techmo. The Ravens seem to be pretty clear cut as to what their needs are and who they should pursue, but I don't see it that way so much with the Brownies. They could improve greatly by drafting at just about any position on the field (of course aside from special teams). I could even see Crennel pulling a Marvin and drafting someone like DeAngelo Williams out of nowhere, to the team's benefit.
Whur CHad At?
If Vince Young falls past the first 10, look for the Brownies not to waste time on him. I have heard they would prob. refuse not to take him if he falls to them. The Ravens will prob. go with Ngata or Bunkley, preferbly Bunk because he is better fitted for their type of D. The Steelers will prob. draft Ko Simpson, or Darnell Bing. Could be a possibility they draft Lendale White.

HoosierCat
Ravens want more picks...may be looking to trade down...per kffl...Ravens | Team would like to acquire more picks?Thu, 20 Apr 2006 18:48:07 -0700Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports the Balitmore Ravens are clearly prepared to move down from the 13th spot in the first round of the NFL Draft to acquire more picks. Director of college scouting Eric DeCosta did little to hide his displeasure over the Ravens having two picks on the first day of a deep draft. "I wish I had six," he said. If the Ravens drop from the 13th pick to somewhere in the low 20s, they probably would receive an additional third-round pick. General manager Ozzie Newsome even said the Ravens could be enticed to give up the No. 13 pick before they are on the clock. According to a league source, the Ravens' two most coveted players are Texas DB Michael Huff and Texas QB Vince Young, but neither is expected to slip past the top 10. Unlike any other draft, this one will be unusual for the Ravens because they must pick immediately after the Cleveland Browns and their general manager Phil Savage, who ran the Ravens' college scouting department for nine years. "I would love nothing better than to jump up over (Savage) and pick his pocket," DeCosta said.

I'd get excited by this news if I didn't recall that the Bengals attempted a trade with the Ravens one year and Newsome flatly refused to trade a 1st round pick to a division rival. I can't remember all of the details, but I do recall that it was the year the Ravens drafted Jamal Lewis. Still, there was that Lance rumor about the Bengals wanting to move into the top 15.
