BengalChamps
I have been to many games at both and I prefer Riverfront. Bear in mind that I usually sit near the top. Riverfront had a cozier, intimate feel to it.Riverfront was MUCH, MUCH easier to get to your seat.Riverfront's upper deck was alot closer.Riverfront's line of sight was not blocked by people in the aisle.Did I say it was easier to get to your seat?Riverfront had more seats with protection from the elements.Maybe if I had a club seat, luxury box or lower level seat my opinion would change.I'm not really bashing PBS, because it has some positives, but its lacking a little in the design department. bengalskyspy
Are you joking. Spend a little more on your seat. PBS is far better, and is the best looking design in the NFL.
Larry
Paul Brown is wow, by far better. Not even in the same league. One is a only football and the other was duel use. That alone is huge.

You must be doing drugs or drinking too much.1. If by "cozier" you mean there was no room between the rows and it was cramped, then yes, Riverfront was cozier. If by intimate you mean that the dude next to you is practically sitting on your lap then yes, Riverfront was more intimate.2. Riverfront's line of sight we blocked by people sitting in the rows in front of you if they were tall, not so at PBS.3. You must have had THE worst seat in the stadium every time to say it's hard to get to your seat.4. I've been in the "nosebleeds" at PBS, and frankly the view of the field is better at PBS than it ever was at Riverfront in the midlevel seats.PBS blows Riverfront away. It's not cramped, you aren't being stepped on when someone walks past you in the aisles, and the view is much better. Add to that the fact that the stadium looks far better and there's no question here other than the sanity of anyone who prefered Riverfront. redsbengalsbucks
I prefer Riverfront to PBS, but that is only because I saw a game at Riverfront and have yet to make it to one at PBS.Ford Feild last year was a great experience and a neatly designed Feild. I am hoping to be able to swing a ticket to a game this season at PBS. I still have yet to see PBS or Great America, but when I was young my family went to see at least one series every year. Boy the Big Red Machine was an awesome sight to behold, no team in my opinion has ever had that potent of a line up all the way thru. They actually won some architectural awards for their design. The upper deck is alot higher than the Red seats but the sideline seats are alot closer which has to be better than Riverfront. Stripes
I've only been to three PBS games, but I thought the stadium was great everytime. Finding my seat was easy, and I didn't feel constricted in my space once I got there. I was up near the back though, and it gets REALLY steep up there. I felt like I was going to fall out of my seat and roll downwards to my death.
Sox
There's no comparison. In addition to all of the amenities listed by some of the others, there's something else not as glamorous but important. The restrooms are much easier and quicker to get in and out of than Riverfront's were.I also like the fact that there seems to be a beer vendor for each 3 to 4 people. West Coast Bengal
Hello all, I miss my Paul Brown Stadium. I won't miss it though when the season starts, I'll be back. I'm schocked to hear anyone say the line of sight was better at riverfront. I was under the canvas for the Browns Bengals game three years ago. Yeah, the one that hurt soooooo bad. And I felt like I was playing a game of Madden (a good thing). I felt like I could see everything I needed to and I was the last person in the friggin stadium that could have had an opinion. And also, it needs to be noted how much of an improvement has been made over the last two seasons. The turf, the walls, the goal past covers (not really what we're talking about but still) On another note, same goes for baseball. I'd take Riverfront back for reds games only if it came with a new pete rose and a new big red machine. You can catch homers, you can sit in the bleacher seats and party the right way if you want, night games, you can catch a cool breeze off of the river, you can eat at the machine room and watch the game, and dammit, all the seats are red! ArmyBengal
Well, I will say that PBS is the better of the two, but when I was young and my Dad had season tickets, they were on the 45 yard line tucked up under at the top of the green seats. If it rained, no problem plus the bathrooms were right behind our seats. If I had comparable seats at PBS, I'd be in 7th heaven. As it stands, I think PBS makes the skyline look that much better !!!WHODEY !!!
Ripper
Riverfront sucked in everyway ! Good riddance IMHO ! Paul Brown is great. Astroturf should be outlawed.
Dan2330
Let's see Riverfront memories:- Red Seats section toilets freezing up at the end of each regular season- Waiting in line a half a quarter for a damn drink or too use one of those frozen toilets- Seeing the astro turf baseball markings on the field- End zone seats that looked like they were on a deck and not on the fieldNo comparision what so ever, PBS is a true football stadium, Riverfront was a concrete cookie cutter. I have been to 12 different NFL stadiums and IMHO I place PBS in the top three for overall rank (seating, fans, ammenties, energy).
ArmyBengal
Talk about toilets freezing up, was anyone else at the AFC Champ. game in 81 against the Chargers ?? The freezer bowl had all the freakin toilets froze up at -59 wind chill !!! I was 10 and thought I was gonna die, but that was the best !!!Oh yeah, I still like PBS a hell of a lot more, but there are a ton of memories at Riverfront !!!WHODEY !!! bengalindian
I felt like I was going to fall out of my seat and roll downwards to my death. We can only dream. P.S. I only went to one Bengals game at Riverfront, and it was a looooong time ago, but I'm pretty sure I like PBS more.
San Antonio Bengal
PBS is much better. Riverfront was one of the multi-purpose cookie-cutter stadiums of the 70s that did a lot of things, but none of them well.
Ox
I dunno, there is just something sentimental about old Riverfront. Maybe it's because it was my first jungle experience. PBS is still better though.
MacD BengalFan
I have not been to PBS yet, but I can tell that it is a much better stadium then Riverfront.
