I don't think he'll see any jail time. If not, he better thank the dear Lord, his lawyer, and Marvin all at once. I don't know if he'll even face an NFL suspension. If he does, I doubt it's more than 4 games. He'll be a lucky bastard, but that's fine by me as long as he continues catching footballs in the endzone.

You have to assume he at least gets 4 games right? I can't imagine he actually gets jail time... he is (relatively) famous after all.

Well it states he was only charged with carrying a concealed weapon?

That certainly changes things - i.e. no jail time.

The NFL may very well suspend him based on the two incidents happening so closely together, and circumstances surrounding the 2nd incident, but who knows how many games.

I really have no idea what's going to happen with him, who does? I just assume he won't be around most of next season. So if he does come back and straightens himself out, it's a big bonus.

Henry's a pro bowl talent - the Bengals' need to get some good people around him and keep him away from the bad influences.

Reggie Rembert Pt. II so far.

Apparently they had Hue Jackson babysit him after the first arrest. But then once the season was over....

It's going to take more than positive influences. It's going to require some growth from the man himself.

May I suggest electronic ankle bracelet monitoring?

Can the Bengals do that?

I've stated my opinions on this topic in the other Cheech thread and will let my statements stand, as I have not changed my mind.

per Curnutte in todays Enquirer:

TRIAL DATE: Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry faces a May 30 trial date on a single charge of carrying a concealed firearm in Orange County, Fla.

A pretrial conference is set for May 16.

The case is expected to be settled before it goes to trial. Henry is likely to receive probation.

Henry is rehabilitating a knee he sprained in Cincinnati's playoff loss to Pittsburgh.
