Spor_tees Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 Mayock on NFL.Com has a video where he talks about 6 guys that can be either a boom or bust. Vince Young, Lindell White, Reggie McNeal, Gabe Watson, Claude Wroten, and Jimmy Williams. This is kinda disheartening because three of these guys are potential draft picks by the Bengals. If we do take Jimmy Williams in the First, Gabe Watson in the second...orIf we take Jimmy Williams in the first, a TE in the Second, and Wroten in the Third...or If we take a TE in the First, Gabe Watson in the Second, and possibley Wroten if he is available in the Third...We could end up with 2 of the players off Mayock's list or more. That is kinda scary to have that many gambles in one draft. Almost makes you want to trade up and take a for sure thing like Vernon Davis. Quote
Stripes Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 Not even Vernon Davis is a sure thing. That's the name of the game in the NFL Draft. You go by your scouts' instincts and your own as well, grab a player, and hope for the best. Quote
bengalindian Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 You're really stretching these "potential" picks. I doubt Marvin takes a chance in the first round on anyone. He hasn't done it yet, and he will probably not do it this season. Quote
Bobcat Bengal Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 I expected Watson to be on that list. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 Wrotten or Williams are in that category not due so much for their play, but I would think more for their attitude of offfield sh*t... Anyway, I get what you guys are saying. WHODEY !!! Quote
Tasher Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 Quick, take a drink! ...of the Marv ade!In Marvin we trust!given Marv's track record in the draft and his ability to motivate, methinks that we will be O-key-doh-key! Quote

BengalChamps Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 ML has a history of taking chances on ?'s who are athletic in the later rounds. I he hasnt taken chances on first rounders though. Love to know what he is thinkin! Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 Why wasn't Reggie Bush on that list?!?! Besides I wouldn't listen to Mayock, personally I think he is a retard. Although, I do believe Williams will be a bust. He thinks he is the s**t, but he ain't. Quote
