ArmyBengal
So how about Cromartie in the 1st ??? WHODEY !!!
Bengalbob
According to Robinson on Yahoo today:Jason Allen, S/CB, Tennessee – He's fluid and fast, but his future still seems to be at safety. His ballistic numbers at the combine put to rest the short-term fears about his surgically repaired hip. Scouts say: His injured hip has tested out with about 85 percent of the strength of his healthy one, and it could be an issue as his career progresses. That 85% worries me - hips have a tendency to degenerate about as fast as Bengalzone Message Threads. To see the whole article (it's mostly about Cromartie): Charles Robinson on YahooGood info THANKS.I wonder whether or not Jason Allen's hip is had time to recover its full strength. If the hip is NOT regaining its strength, then I too would worry. I'm still hopeful that we are only glimpsing at a player who is on his way back and hasn't fully recovered yet. His workout numbers are even more impressive when we consider his hip is not at full strength.I got the following from another forum. I don't have access to ESPN Insider, so I can't confirm the quote, but if it's true then it's troubling . . .http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/ins...6lid%3dtab3pos2"Rather than bolting to the NFL a year early, Tennessee DB Jason Allen returned to school for his senior season in 2005 hoping to solidify a spot in the top half of the first round of this year's draft. A tweener cornerback/free safety prospect, Allen was enjoying a successful season at cornerback before suffering a season-ending dislocated hip in Game 5 versus Georgia. As expected, his stock immediately plummeted because of concerns about his durability. Allen was able to ease some of those concerns when he showed up healthy at the scouting combine and ran both his 40-yard dash attempts in the low 4.4-second range. At that point, NFL teams reportedly were viewing him as a first-round prospect again. However, Allen has since failed at least two physicals administered privately by NFL teams. With that news spreading like wildfire, Allen's stock is declining again, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the 6-foot-1, 209-pound defensive back slip to the middle of the second round -- or even beyond that point."I also liked this link . . .http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=16...q=auburn+tigers
TJJackson
This is bigCan someone with ESPN Insider please confirm (or deny) this quote?
ArmyBengal
If it's true, I rescind my offer to consume said boxers if Allen falls to #55...On another note, Kiper stated on the Cowboys "On the clock" segment on ESPN that he thought Allen would be the Cowboys pick at #18. I would love to see Allen go before we pick. WHODEY !!!

ArmyBengal
Topic already being discussed in the,"Who else is hoping we draft Jason Allen?" thread...WHODEY !!!
BengalChamps
HelmutHead just added him to his Big Board Top 25. That is dated recently. So what is the truth? Is he failing physicals or not. Kiper would not elevate him if his health was still in question.

ITS a JOKE -- Mikee would not play that dirty.I was getting more and more depressed and decided that a little humor was needed.
