Wraith
According to NFL Draft Scout Michael Huff is falling down draft charts while Jason Allen is rising. What happens if they meet in at pick #24?The reasoning behind Huff falling is his inability to play the CB position in the NFL (stiff hips) thus reducing his value. While I don't think Huff will fall to us (you only have to pop in a single Texas game tape to realize his ability as a player) would you take Huff knowing that he likely would not be playing CB or Allen knowing he can play both well n a pinch? Whur CHad At?
I'll take Ko Simpson...Not over Huff, but def. over Allen. And Huff won't fly pass the Bills. THey are most likely going to take him in the draft anyway
TJJackson
Huff is a super-elite player, a top 10 pick, with all the smarts and speed to also make him a Marvin type guyShould he slide to 24 (i give this about a .00000001% chance), the Bengals would take him without delay
BlainThePain
I'm a Jason Allen fan, but I would be pissed if the the Bengals passed over Huff for anybody that would be around at 24. The only other players I would rather have than Huff in the draft are Mario Williams and Vernon Davis (Thats right, I would rather have Huff over Bunkley and Ngata). On a side note, safeties are always overrated on draft websites so it wouldn't completely surprise me to see Huff fall a bit.
ArmyBengal
Anyone looked at as a top 10 pick falling to 24 will probably get picked. Let Ngata, Hawk, Huff, Davis, D'Brick or someone like that fall and we are all over them like sh*t on Boller !!!WHODEY !!!

People were clamoring for Ernest Shazor...some mocks had him as a 2nd Round pick...the guy went undrafted and the Bengals made no effort to contact him after the draft. Bobcat Bengal
Huff might fall a little bit, but he's not gonna fall THAT far.

Bobcat Bengal
What about Donte Whitner @ 24?I've been hearing a LOT of positive things about this kid, said he's fast, and like a coach on the field. What are your thoughts/opinions on him? What would your reaction be if we drafted him? ArmyBengal
Yeah, the SHAZOR train !!! I was on that one. I should have asked for my money back when that b*tch derailed !!! But still, I don't see Huff dropping anywhere near that, nor some of the other top 3 safeties in the draft.WHODEY !!!
TJJackson
Donte Whitnerhttp://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...ntewhitner.htmlThere's a lot to like, surely. But I don't like his lack of starting experience, his height is a bit fo a concern, but the big killer for me is lack of durability. So I'd say if we traded down about 10-15 spots and he remainied available, I'd be in favor if he was the best remaining defender at that point. At 24, I would not be in favor of this pick

TJJackson
Hey ding-dong, who compared Shazor to Huff? My point was that there are guys who slide every year.Well, you {moron, idiot, slack-jawed brain-dead dweeb, whatever you prefer, since we're doing name calling now}, what you actually said wasremember last year?? People were clamoring for Ernest Shazor...some mocks had him as a 2nd Round pick...the guy went undrafted and the Bengals made no effort to contact him after the draft. So I was explaining in the simplest possible terms - which apparently were not simple enough (again, since we're going the insult rather than reasoned route here) for you - why Shazor slipped out of the draft. Just so you know, safeties need to run fast. ok, I think that may have been stated simply enough. Also, the opening topic was about Huff falling. All posts prior to yours were about Huff. In the sense that you mentioned Shazor sliding in a topic about Huff sliding, you were implicitly comparing the two. I know I used some bigger words in this paragraph than the last, but maybe you know an adult who can help explain it to you?More simply stated, the answer to your question is: you did. Almost every site had Sean Jones in the first round and I remember this because I was shocked when we took Madieu over him, but was I ever happy when I saw Madieu play. AGrizzlyBaer
i hate to say but this years shazor could be bernard pollard from purdue here... though it was 4.66 forty which isnt as bad

I see Pollard getting drafted, but it will be late. The reason Shazor dropped so far was because his status was based only on physical promise, and when he had bad workouts, there wasn't much reason to draft him.
