BengalChamps
If CP is still out this would scare me. I cant get our last game with them out of my mind.Larry Johnson may push LaDanian for the number 1 fantasy point scorer.ML better do something about the run D, or we'll start the season 0-1. Whur CHad At?
Why would it scare you? CP doesn't play defense. Our offense even with Johnson could destroy their pathetic defense. But they could also do the same to us...so that is a concern!
Stripes
If we start the season against the Chiefs and Palmer is not back, then we're in for a world of hurt. I'm not convinced that our offense can do enough damage to them without him to keep up with the inevitable circuis that Larry Johnson will make of our defense. kentjett
Why can't we face somebody like the 49ers or Lions, KC is a force. Larry Johnson is the best back in the NFL, second to none.
Kazkal
Why can't we face somebody like the 49ers or Lions, KC is a force. Larry Johnson is the best back in the NFL, second to none.I think will be ok...Will have madieu back will have jackson @ SS rather then I give up the big play oth will have odell and david back with alot more experiance and hopfully a monster DT from the draft next too a chunky ass mofo
turningpoint
True, but Larry was running over good defenses also, so this does bring up a large concern.
Kazkal
Madieu will stop him
HoTbOy
I do have respect for KC there home is a tough place for any team to play...nevermind 1 without Carson...but being a division winner this is what comes with that, the toughest games...We beat KC before at our place when they were undefeated, so we will have a chance, because we know we can beat them...they would definitely need a beerbelly on the line this year, that was painful watching LJ do that to our D... DC_Bengals_Fan
Madieu will stop him I hope not - if it takes Madieu to stop him, they've already won. Odell, that's different.
walshfan
better hope we have Grady Jackson by then to take up some blockers or the Chiefs will run for 200 yards no less...
walzav29
What I will not do is even entertain the thought that the Bengals will be able to stop the run unless they address the D-line through free agency. I'm ok with linebackers and the safeties, but if the Bengals don't sign some beasts in the middle then it will be the same stuff we've seen for the history of this team. Teams running it down Cincy's throat. I don't want to wait on a rookie either. We need Grady or Adams. Preferrably Adams.
semiotter
KC is just the kickoff to a tough season ahead. Dang did any of you see the rest of it. I read we play the 3rd toughest sch. in the leauge behind NO and Tampa Bay.
Riagogogoindanati
UMMM........DIDN'T WE SIT OUR BETTER PLAYERS OUT THAT GAME? I THINK WE'LL DO JUST FINE EVEN IF CARSON COMES IN AROUND GAME 2 OR 3. TIS WHY WE WON OUR DIVISION WITH 2 GAMES LEFT TO GO............... San Antonio Bengal
I read we play the 3rd toughest sch. in the leauge behind NO and Tampa Bay.Well, does it really matter so much? I mean 14 of the games we play are in common with the rest of the division. Winning the division is what matters. Take care of business with Pittsburgh, Balitmore and Cleveland and the rest should fall into place. Besides, I'd rather face KC early in the season rather than late, but maybe that's just me. ArmyBengal
No Carson = loss at KC. No improvement on the D = loss at KC BOTH = NO F*CKING CHANCE IN HELL = loss at KCWHODEY !!!
Spor_tees
New Coach in KC = Plus for the BengalsNew System in KC = Plus for the BengalsEveryone coming back healthy for the Bengals (including Carson) = Plus for the BengalsWith it being the first week of the season and KC having a new coach in Sperm Edwards, and the team having to learn his new systems, playing them earlier in the year instead of later is actually a plus for the Bengals. With a fresh and healthy Rudi, fresh and healthy O-line, and Carson coming back, I see more pluses for the Bengals than KC. But then again I might have an extra hole in the top of my head that I take craps out of...who knows?
CantStop85
I believe in miracles...Larry Johnson will be held to under 200 yards rushing and we will put up 600 yards of offense to squeak out a 68-65 win.
Whur CHad At?
Good prediction CantStop lol.Larry Johnson will have 21 carries for 199 yards(Will change if D-Line Upgraded)
membengal
If they start in KC and CP isn't ready to go, they will be 0-1. We might as well brace for the fact that the brutal schedule and Palmer's uncertain short-term future makes it hard to be optimistic for the start of next season...
