BlainThePain Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 http://www.draftdaddy.com/blog/blog.cfmThe Macon Telegraph reports the tight end coaches from the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars showed up at the University of Georgia's recent Pro Day to privately workout tight end Leonard Pope. NJ29 Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 It's becoming more and more likely that we'll take Pope, but I really don't want it to happen right now. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 It's becoming more and more likely that we'll take Pope, but I really don't want it to happen right now.Not it's not. Just because our coaches are working him out doesn't mean that we will take him. Rick Hunley worked out Channing Crowder, and we didn't take him. Quote

Kazkal Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 Jesus is the coach of the bengals.... and now were getting the pope on the team Diden't jags abd bengals both check out joe something too Quote
Stripes Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Diden't jags abd bengals both check out joe something too Yep, Joe Klopfenstein from Colorado. I'd agree that this workout makes it look more likely that we'll go for Pope in the first. It's no guarantee by any means, but nothing is such with the draft. Quote
Kazkal Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 But a possible choice Probbley if bengals don't take him jags would kinda funny bears diden't check him out sense they were one of main teams taking him in mock drafts Quote
BengalPappaw Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 I believe that Leonard Pope sounds like a Mikee "safe pick" option. Pope is a good football player, who currently doesn't have a criminal record, assault charge or overdue books from the Georgia library -- and that makes Mikee feel good. Quote
UofLnMU Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Yep. And the not so small matter of being one of the best TE options that doesn't share DNA with that freak of nature Vernon Davis. Quote
Kazkal Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 mybe we could turn him i n to freak like vernon + have 4 inchs on him could you picture pope if he had 3% body fat and ran 4.38 would be scary lol I'll kill the jags if they trade up ahead of us.... Quote
