TJJackson
I LOVE this pick :-)http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7149535/
GROIIIDayton
that mock draft really makes sense also.
Pandre
So if we pick Williams what do you think we will do?I think we would cut Tory James and leave Ratliff as our Nickle back because of his special team capapbilities.

Cut Tory ?? Not a chance in hell, at least not this year. Not to mention many think when his time is up due to personnel additions, he could switch to safety (I neither agree or disagree, just saying). Plus he's more than solid and Ratliff still does not give me the warm and fuzzy feeling AT ALL. I really hope Ratliff comes back strong next year or I'll give up on him completely...WHODEY !!! BlainThePain
I doubt we would even save much by cutting Tory. Besides that, Tory is exactly the type of person you want to have on your team when you draft a corner. He has a bunch of experience and gets by on technique instead of athleticism. Jimmy Williams could learn a lot from him.
NJ29
That's pretty good, well reasoned mock if you ask me.
Whur CHad At?
Terrible mock...well at least some of it is.First of all the Saints will NOT draft Mario Williams. It makes no friggn sense when they already have two studs in Will Smith and Charles Grant.Second of all the Bills will not sign Ngata. They are moving to a new Cover 2 offesne and they need a safety, expect them to draft Huff.Vernon Davis will go to the Saints...somehowWe will not draft Jimmy Williams becuase he has character issues. Marvin doesnt like this problem, he wants a team man.
schweinhart
Mario is no doubt a big freak at a major impact position. But proly not at #2 to the Saints where Wayne Gandy has got to be pushing 40 by now.And there's the great Wholelotta Nada...I'm not sure I've seen any mock that didn't slot him at #8 to the Bills. Just hard to imagine a 2-down type DT at best would take precedence over higher impact positions and more explosive players like TE in Vernon Davis for an offense that struggles mightily except for when it plays the Bengals or DB in Michael Huff when they've got a CB franchised, their strong safety cut and their FS in the league for a decade and a half. The RBs have slid for the most part but the Vikes taking one now are a much longer shot than before they signed Chester Taylor. Add an excellent 3rd down back in Mewelde Moore, an emerging power runner in Ciatrick Fason and the possible return of a clean Whizzinator and there's not much room left in the backfield in Minnesota. If no team thinks Jimmy Williams has a shot at being anything more than a zone corner and free safety, he'll dropped like zone corners and free safeties do. But he'll still get looked at as having man cover skills. Too much long stride, even if he does cross his feet too much going back. At his size, he should be able to carry some strong safety load if necessary. Too much versatility for him to fall all the way to #24. He's a Poor Man's Sean Taylor and shouldn't last past 20. NJ29
Terrible mock...well at least some of it is.First of all the Saints will NOT draft Mario Williams. (See '05 Lions)The Bills probably will draft Ngata. Adams and Pat Williams' departures leave a big void in the middle of that D that needs to be filled. BTW, the cover 2 is a defense, but I think you knew that. (typo)The Saints will NOT take Vernon Davis. I'm not sure how you got that idea.Marvin doesn't shy away from players with character issues. I think that he has the confidence to try to take these 'troubled' players under his wing. It's a swing and miss thing. He did it last year (See Thurman and Henry). All in all, I think it's a great mock.

Kochman
I think the best thing for the Saints would be to trade down take either Davis or Hawk. There LBers are pretty weak. I don't like the Williams pick he has great potential as a football player and greater potential to be a cancer.

They CAN take Hawk at 2.
