walzav29 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I wonder if Palmer will switch to his college number now that Kitna is gone. Perry did. I like 9 more than 3. Quote
turningpoint Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 He'll stay 9 i think due to him having it for over 3 years, but hey maybe Mikey will enodrse it, more jerseys sales= more money. Quote
BigBenBlows Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I brought this up with my wife. I dont see him switching like Chris Perry did. I think I like 9 better. 3 just reminds of Kitna fumbling and stumbling away our playoff game to s**tsburgh. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Only if they cut Graham and Carson becomes the kicker. 3 should be reserved for the little dudes !!!(This is by no means a slam on Graham, who I truly believe to be one of the best in the league)WHODEY !!! Quote
BengalsMan3203 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I'd be pissed......I just spent 100$ on his Jersey last summer... then he'd go and change his number.... oh... i'd be... Quote
BTG Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Most big time players don't change jersey numbers after a year or two due to marketing reasons. I doubt Carson will either. Quote
bengalindian Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 3 is such an ugly number, and I think we've all been conditioned to equate 9 with superior play. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Carson's #9 is a huge seller, I doubt he changes. Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I'd be pissed......I just spent 100$ on his Jersey last summer... then he'd go and change his number.... oh... i'd be... Yeah, that's why my Bengals jersey has *my* name on the back. Players get traded, get hurt, turn crappy, change numbers...Although, if you're extra careful with the scissors, you could easily turn a 9 into a 3. Sort of the reverse of turning those F's into B's on the old report card. Quote
HairOnFire Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I'm pretty sure the Bengals will retire the #3 jersey for one of the following reasons. A - God wants them to.B - It's been permanently ruined.C - It's covered with rat droppings.D - They're afraid Chris Perry will hide behind another number...making life more difficult for his doctors.E - They feel nobody can replace Jon Kitna. Quote
Stripes Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Nah I doubt Carson changes it. Nine looks good on that uniform... Instead of having a kicker's number (three) like Army said or be the fiftieth quarterback in the league with the number seven. Quote
Kazkal Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 I bet you his 9 means more then his 3 does to him Quote
DontPushMe Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 D - They're afraid Chris Perry will hide behind another number...making life more difficult for his doctors. If you are going to make elementary disses for no reason, at least try and have them make sense. This is honestly one of the stupidest things ive ever read on here, and it has nothing to do with the player. This is just a huge reach at either being funny or taking another shot at Perry, either way you failed miserably. Quote
HoTbOy Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Maybe after 2 injuries wearing #9 he says he needs to start anew and makes the switch, and dedicate this season and every other to Kitna for all that he's done... Quote

ArmyBengal Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 he makes the switch, and dedicate this season and every other to Kitna for all that he's done... That's a joke right ??? Oh, it's not ??? WHODEY !!! Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Carson won't switch his number. Why would he he sells tom. jerseys. I would be pissed if i bought a Palmer jeresey and he switched his number to 3. I would start busting thintgs up. Quote
HairOnFire Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 This is just a huge reach at either being funny or taking another shot at Perry, either way you failed miserably. I know my audience. BigBenBlows thought it was funny. You didn't. That's a perfect score. Ki-Jana Carter > Chris Perry Quote

BengalszoneBilly Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Even though Carson wore number 3 at USC, I doubt he'd use that same number here. Come on! Besides winning a piddly Hiesman Trophy and guiding his team to some obscure, small time NCAA football contest (that makes the college basketball N.I.T. Tourney look like the World Series and the Super Bowl all rolled into one!) called a "National Championship," it really didn't bring him much good luck at all! Quote
HoTbOy Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Is it me or does that # actually looks good on him...maybe the trees i had this morning.... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 No, it looks GAY on him because he's not a kicker... #9 is the way to go !!!WHODEY !!! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 No, it looks GAY on him because he's not a kicker... #9 is the way to go !!!WHODEY !!!Well neither was Jon Kitna, yet he wore the number. Quote
