kingwilly
the money I'm concerned about is the guaranteed portion...we will spend some CA$h on steiny..and we should. As long as we cn manage cap hit for steiny and Levi, I think Bobbie may be expendable post '06...pending keift/koositra development. Spain
Bachs going to make monry, while that Hutch contract is mad, we are going to have to pay Bach more. He is one of the best gaurds in the game that can play tackle wouldnt suprise me if he gets another contract and we have to pay out the ass. Stripes
It is looking as though a good chunk of our extra new CBA cap space is going to be spent extending the offensive line... I suppose that was the case anyways. Meh.
The_Next_Big_Thing
I could have told you that midway through last season. Hell, I did tell you that last season.
HoosierCat
Yikes...Seahawks | Contract update: Hutchinson provisionMon, 13 Mar 2006 17:12:40 -0800Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports Seattle Seahawks transition free agent OG Steve Hutchinson has a provision in his contract which states he must be the highest paid offensive lineman on his team for the 2006 season or his entire $50 million contract becomes guaranteed, according to someone who has seen the offer sheet the Minnesota Vikings offered him. Seahawks OT Walter Jones averages $7.5 million a season and Hutchinson's contract will average $7 million a season. If the Seahawks decide to match the offer, they would have to figure out a way to squeeze his over $13 million salary figure into their cap and would guarantee the rest of his $50 million contract, which would make it the richest cash contract in NFL history by $15 million.$50 million guaranteed!?!?!?! Wow. No way the Hawks can match that...

The_Next_Big_Thing
this is probbley why brown voted agaist the cba extention o_O h8 for large market teams h8 for the redskinsYeah, it had nothing to do with the CBA being bad for the league. It had nothing to do with the CBA being bad for small market teams like the Bengals. It had everything to do with hatred of the skins. Are you that stupid? Or are you sharing the with Spain?
