Kazkal Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Would the Ko Simpson bandwagon care to explain how their rookie with 2 years of college experience would be able to start next year? Also, why didn't he start college right after high school? Never heard of a 22 year old sophomore that wasn't a Mormon or a moron.thats why i wanna bring in milloy well ko continues to learn him coming out now could be blessing so we don't have to spend to high of a pick on him Quote
HairOnFire Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Frankly, I don't want Demps. He may be the youngest player to pick from, and that's normally the direction I lean, but his instincts are terrible. Give me Milloy or Jackson. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Give me Milloy. The guy had 106 tackles last year. He might be 32 but he can still play great football Quote
TJJackson Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 I still want to know where Chris Hope is.....has he even been mentioned this weekend? Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 I think Hope could be headed to Cleveland if I am not mistaken Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 I still want to know where Chris Hope is.....has he even been mentioned this weekend?Florio over at pft had a short blurb on him this monring, to the effect that he's getting no calls because he's slow and stupid (in the words of one of his sources). Never heard of a 22 year old sophomore that wasn't a Mormon or a moron. One year of college playing experience. He was a redshirt freshman last year.Marlon McCree he finally got a chance to prove him self. He looked real good last season. He is young and wouldn't break the bank. He's had five NFL years to prove himself and hasn't. Quote
TJJackson Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Hope is.....getting no calls because he's slow and stupid (in the words of one of his sources).Ouch.I'll re-eval this guy. :-)At this point with the remaining players available, I want Milloy, but not so much as a starter but as a) quality depth starter on running downsc) a mentor/teacher for Madieu and the first day drafted rookie (Jason Allen, Ko Simpson, Pat Watkins, whoever) we pick up in the draft Quote

Never heard of a 22 year old sophomore that wasn't a Mormon or a moron. One year of college playing experience. He was a redshirt freshman last year.Gamecocks website says he played 2004 as a freshman, 2005 as a sophomore. Also says he signed in 2003, but didn't enroll until 2004. I don't care if 20 year old HS players are common place in Cincinnati, it still raises red flags for me. And if you want to know what Marvin thinks about players with good abilities, but no brains, check out the LaVar Arrington thread. Quote

Never heard of a 22 year old sophomore that wasn't a Mormon or a moron.Simpson was greyshirted his first year after high school. For more info, check this link:http://www.3c4a.org/NCAARules.htmOhio State did the same thing with (S) Freddie Lenix out of Glenville this past season and (QB) Todd Boeckman a few years ago. It's pretty common in D1A football. Quote
F.Cleveland Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Sign Dexter and Ryan Pickett and draft a CB.Agreed, but I'd take Sam Adams too if he was willing to play for a reasonable amount. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Pickett will def. not be coming here. Sam Adams might not be either. Bengals might just have to settle with Lawyer Milloy, and I wouldn't have a problem with that. Quote
TecmoFever Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 The fans chose Dexter Jackson out of this group, and the Bengals always deliver the big name that the fans want. Sarcasm implied.I do like this Dexter signing. Don't love it, but like it. Quote
