Bengals | Team will visit with Rosenfels

Fri, 10 Mar 2006 21:29:05 -0800

Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports free agent QB Sage Rosenfels (Dolphins) will visit with the Cincinnati Bengals soon, according to a source.

At the risk of quoting my Banter-ing self...

Are you starting on opening day?

Parsley Sage Rosenfels and thyme

Oh God, we're doomed if you are in there.

Tears will stain this jersey of mine...

(apologies, of course, to S&G  )

I knew Rosenfels would be coming in for a visit. Is he the answer for our team ?? Maybe yes, maybe no, but please stop talking about Maddox, because he is F*CKING sorry. Fiedler ?? I'm not big on his goofyass either. What has Rosenfels done to impress me ?? Can't really say as I know that, but he's young, has an arm, and if given the time, he could be more than an adequate backup for us. That and he just seems to fit the role for what Marvin and company are looking for in a backup QB... 6'4 225lbs and I just think he's a better option than some older guy. If you talk about Maddox and Fiedler, then you also should be bolstering up Kitna HARD because I think he's better than both of them and I think Kitna can GO NOW !!!

Hurry up and get better already Carson !!!

WHODEY !!!

I'd rather they look at McNown from 'Zona than Rosenfels. He has a lot of upside. Arizona was stupid to let him go. He has a much brighter future than Warner.

:bengal:

And is a potential starter demanding more money as is the reason the Saints are looking at him if they can't sign Brees and the reason he will not be coming to Cincinnati... Oh yeah, I'd like him more as well...

Saints | Team could visit with McCown

Sat, 11 Mar 2006 06:15:22 -0800

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports free agent QB Josh McCown (Cardinals) is scheduled to visit with the New Orleans Saints, if they don't sign free agent QB Drew Brees (Chargers).

WHODEY !!!

Maddox and Fiedler??? Ugh...

Rosenfels would not be a reason to jump off the Brent Spence, but....

I have a weird feeling that Kitna may not get the interest he wants from other teams, and in the long run will be discussed as coming back to the Bengals....But whether that is the best option is open for debate of course...

It seems to be that Kitna mayb headed to Detriot. I think he is visiting with them this weekend and they have shown strong intrest in him. Jets are visiting with him to but that signing will be highly unlikely due to the fact they are about to trade for Ramsey.

Same here. I think Kit has been and continues to be overvalued by the sports media; the fact the Jets are apparently willing to trade for Ramsey versus sign Kit is further proof of that, I think. Meantime, with the Bengals committed to Palmer, if for no other reason than his big-assed contract, what QB is going to be anxious to sign here?

Pass on Sage he sucked anyway

Ask yourself this....is he better than Doug Johnson and Craig Krenzel?

I'm not saying he is or isn't, as I don't know much about him.

But in essence, would he have improved us at the now-critical number 2 QB spot?

If he would have, then despite all his "suckiness", he would have been a good pickup (as always, for the appropriate money for the role)
