Whur CHad At?
According to ESPN Insider, it seems like the Saints, of all teams, are really going hard for Mr. Brees services next year. Forget Miami, it looks like the Saints could be the frontrunner. If he does sign with them, I wonder how the mock drafts will be changed??? ArmyBengal
Well, to start, A.J. Hawk becomes a huge target for them if they stay in that position. Add D'Brick to that equation as well. I do believe they would rather trade down a few spots, still be able to get Hawk, and be able to pick up another day one pick, seeing as how they don't have a 3rd rounder. Mawae was also mentioned as a target of the Saints since they are going to lose Bentley...WHODEY !!!
The_Next_Big_Thing
Why would he want to sign in New Orleans instead of Miami or ANYWHERE else in the league?
GROIIIDayton
If the Saints pursue him hard them you might think that causes Miami to back off a little bit thinking that it will give them a chance to get Young or cutler in the draft. Whur CHad At?
Maybe Miami backed off due to a deal with Minnesota

Cutler and Young would be passed by teams that need a franchise quarterback such as the Titans, Raiders, Bills, Browns (charlie frye, please), Ravens. The Dolphins would have to trade up and I dont see how Saban can do that with all the holes that they need to fill.
ArmyBengal
Amazing how before the combine, Cutler would've been considered lucky as hell to go as high as the Dolphins and now people say there is "no chance" of him falling that far. I believe there is more than a fair chance of Cutler or Young falling. How far will be determined mostly by how things shake out during FA.WHODEY !!! Went from a possible "1" to 26. That was the funniest green room incident in years.I half think teams have been talking up Cutler in an attempt to trick a team into taking him half a round too high. I think scouts must put bets on that kind of stuff.

Whur CHad At?
Greedy Bastard...Saints | Brees wants $10 million per year; Saints closest to his demandsSun, 12 Mar 2006 18:22:37 -0800John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports free agent QB Drew Brees (Chargers) reportedly is seeking a contract that will pay him $10 million per year and he is firm in those demands. The New Orleans Saints are the closest to meeting Brees' demands. The Miami Dolphins aren't offering as much in guarantees as New Orleans, and they seem to have dug in on not doing that with Brees coming off shoulder surgery. The Saints would be better off sticking with the draft... We all saw how Brees performed when the Chargers sucked! Guess what... The Saints suck worse! ArmyBengal
I think the Saints are crazy to pay Brees 10 mil a year coming off an injury, but that is just my opinon. I think they would fare way better with Lienart with the 2nd pick, then play around with Brees...WHODEY !!!
