Vernon Davis is the real deal

He ran the 40 in 4.38, bench pressed 465lbs and he had a 42" vertical. He is the best TE to ever come out of the draft. He looked liked the best blocking TE as well, he has a mean streak in him which makes him love to block.

He sounds great. Too bad he'll be gone in the top ten with numbers like that.

I see him moving into the Top 7. Just an awesome show he put on...outclassed the other TE's by a big margin, in every way.

Probably the best athlete at the combine..IMHO. As good a prospect as Bush, M. Williams and AJ Hawk, if not better.

any team that needs a offensive weapon will be dumb too pass hell if somehow he feeel out of top 15 Ya right!!!! I'd be ok with bengals trading up

I feel very much vindicated with my choosing him for our pick in the draft....of course, I now have to revise, since he clearly won't be available at 24 :-)

I really like the way he CATCHES the ball and what he does after the catch. There were plays where he carried tacklers down the field on his back.

He is a fiery competitor, also.

IMO he will be a special player in the NFL -- too bad it won't be with the Bengals.

He'll be the best TE in the league in 3 years. I love Gates but he couldn't run a 4.5 forty on his best day let alone a 4.38. Take a seat Gates, Davis is the new TE stud around the NFL.
