Houston considering trading pick...

Recommended Posts

If it's the Jets, I say Lienart is the pick...

If it's the 49er's, I say Bush is the pick...

Either way, I'm not really concerned. I think trading down is definitely the way to go for Houston. They will get MAD compensation for trading down and be able to address the main need of that team... O-LINE

Can you say D'Brick ??

WHODEY !!!

8-ball says....."Trade down"....

Bush is an excellent player but addressing the Texans problems requires more than what he offers....namely a quick, run around RB...

Let's look at it this way...Reggie could not make half those runs vs an NFL Team with the Texans line....

Trade down to around 4-7....take AJ Hawk/V. Davis/D'Brick/Mario Williams and stock the picks from r2-4...Plus they'll save some bank for FA's.

I'm with Ox. If you have the chance to draft the most amazing collegiate prospect in decades, then you do it. I don't CARE what your needs are as a team, you take that guy and build a new team around him. If the Texans do trade down and Bush ends up as good as advertised, then they will be chastised for it as a franchise for a long time, just like the Blazers and Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan.

If they trade out of this pick, someone is getting their ass fired in about 2 seasons. No way they make that move.

Trading out of this spot or not, someone is getting their ass fired in about 2 seasons.

If they don't trade down, their oline can't support their pick, and the coach gets fired.

If they do trade down, and Carr (going into his 5th season) and Domanick Davis (only in his 4th season) still can't get it done, the coach gets fired.

They don't NEED Bush. Davis is a pretty damned good player. 2 1000 yard seasons, and a 3rd that was very close to a 1000 yard season despite only playing in 11 games. And that's without a real offensive line to block for him.

They should make this move to trade down just enough to get D'brickshaw Ferguson, and an additional 2nd round pick.

Reggie Bush has power and quickness and he is fast as hell. I don't know how you can consider him a bust. He is a bigger better Marshall Faulk. Give him the ball in space and he has the chance to take it all the way. He's a lot faster than Peter Warrick and plays RB where height doesn't matter all that much, not a very good comparison.

Has anyone watched just how pathetic Houston's O-line is ?? I guess Carr being sacked more times than any QB in the league last year was his fault ?? You can't expect Bush to come in and be the answer for that offense with the O-line they have in place. Put me in the trade down camp for Houston.

WHODEY !!!

The Texans can't solve all their problems in one draft. If they use their number one overall pick to take the best player, they can use all their other early round picks on the line, or wait until NEXT year to do that. Sure, Texans fans don't want to spend another season in the dumps, but I think Reggie Bush is worth that risk.

Houston may have met a partner to trade with

Jets Seek Leinart

Seems like the Jets really want Leinart. I think they are shopping Abraham right now to get a first round pick, which will prob. happen with Denver, so they can trade that Pickand their #4 to Houston. Houston should capitalize on this, and get D'Brick.
