Stripes
When you guess that some teams are going to take players that will be third round at best in the second round that isn't a very good guess. If the first five are so predictable then lets hear them. I will bet you $500 that you can't even get the first five right. You sort of contradicted yourself there... You refuted my statement that drafts are unpredictable, yet then said the first five picks ARE unpredictable. And I am not taking that bet, because it is weak. GROIIIDayton
I never said they were predictable. What I meant was that you can slot guys pretty accurately but picking the team they will go to is nearly impossible. You won't take the bet because you are a p***y. Stripes
I just looked through the mock in its entirety, and I think all the picks listed are as probable as any... I wouldn't mind the Cromartie pick, and I would HATE to see the Steelers land Ko Simpson! I also expect Vince Young to get picked up by one of the top two teams looking for a quarterback (probably Tennessee) and Cutler will go to maybe Oakland or Detroit. All speculation though. HairOnFire
My first reaction to v2.0 is that it was very heavily influenced by what happened at the combines. Perhaps too much. Then again, I can't say one way or another....because I'm a p***y.
ArmyBengal
Those calling for Young to drop, just might see it as the Titans took care of getting McNair and Volek back for the next season...WHODEY !!!

schweinhart
McCargo ?? Not to question his ability, but most don't have him in the top 10 of DT's in the draft and haven't seen him go any earlier than the 3rd. Not to say he's not a 2nd round talent, but I can't see taking him as the 4th DT taken off the board... This would probably piss me off pretty good. WHODEY !!!Hard to say where McCargo will go. Of 7 mock drafts v.2 on the Zone database that have been updated since Feb. 28, only 2 have McCargo going in the 2nd -- both in the first half. It's also hard to tell who are the Top 10 DTs. The Bengalszone mock actually has McCargo as the 5th DT with 2 others taken in the 2nd after him: Wroten who I would doubt the Bengals would take given his marijuana episode even though Wroten talent wise is a mid-1st rounder and Dvoracek who has had his own share of off the field problems. The biggest advantage I can see for McCargo other than his knack for penetration is his versatility on the line, whether it's a 4-3 or 3-4. He's quick and strong enough where he could possibly play any of the D-Line positions in either scheme. For the Bengals, that would be most likely LDT in passing situations and RDT in rotation vs. the run. McCargo would eventually take Thornton's place as starting RDT.When you guess that some teams are going to take players that will be third round at best in the second round that isn't a very good guess. If the first five are so predictable then lets hear them. I will bet you $500 that you can't even get the first five right. Please enlighten us with your insight into 2nd round picks from any mock who would be 3rd round at best. As for wagering, I believe you can find a wager line where you can bet $500 on who you think will be the 1st 5 picks.

Whur CHad At?
Ko or Donte are the only safeties I want to see drafted. Either one will work with me.

Bobcat Bengal
Props to Robb, who takes the chair as official Bengalszone Draft Guru this year! http://www.bengalszone.com/article.php?sid=390What ever happened to Chrishcovga?
schweinhart
So much for Donte Whitner and Ko at 24 with Dex Jack inked. Hard to think the Bengals will burn a 1st on primarily a safety but if they like either of those 2 or Jason Allen at CB, they still might consider them. Got to be less likely now, though. HoosierCat
What ever happened to Chrishcovga? He still pops in now and then.So much for Donte Whitner and Ko at 24 with Dex Jack inked. Jackson wasn't their first choice (and possibly not their second, either). He's not a long-term answer. I think they could still go safety in the first. But Jackson means they don't have to.
