7/11
peyton manning is still the best qb in the league, by far. if he goes another season or two showing he can't win big games, i'll change my mind...but he has put up great numbers with the colts, and throws phenomenal passes. incredible decisino making, pocket presence and accuracy keep him my #1 qb in the nfl. 1- manning2- brady3- palmer
redsfan2
Had to go with Brady because of the Super Bowls that he has won. He's demonstrated a knack for winnng the big games ....... and unfortunately Manning has developed a knack for losing them. He's quickly becoming the " Atlanta Braves " of football.Provided he can come back from his injury, Palmer will be the measuring stick by which all the others are measured. Can't say that at this point because it's going to take more than 1 season. It's coming tho
jamesbrooks21
I'll take Manning. The QB gets too much credit when teams win and too much flak when they lose. Brady has been working with a little bit better D over the past few years.
Stripes
I had to go with Carson. I think Manning has had more than enough chances to prove his worth, and in big games, it hasn't been much. I don't think Brady is overrated by any stretch, but I also have my doubts that he'll continue winning at his former pace... I attribute a lot of that to his team, not himself. CT Stiller
Come on guys, you can't choose Palmer as the best "QB". He's probably right up there with Manning as the best pure passer, but not best QB. Roethlisberger is clearly the best all-around QB on that list. There's more to being a QB than throwing a nice ball.

In Rottenfurbergers case, the Super Bowl will not justify anything for him outside of being remembered for the most pathetic performance by a QB in Super Bowl history. Yes, the Steelers won the Super Bowl and yes, Rottenfurberger was the QB of the team, but to say he the best all-around QB on that list is just crazy. That comment would clearly justify adding you to the "Troll" list, banned to the smack forum. Rottenfurbergers name shouldn't even appear on that list. Now, I'm not saying Carson is the best on that list either, as homerific as I'd like to be, but say Manning is still the best all-around... WHODEY !!! I wanted to pick Palmer but I went with Tom Brady! He has Pro Bowl statistics all of the seasons he was the starter 01-05. And he is a winner 3 SB's, a SB MVP!If you want to talk about Ben's almost perfect Rookie season, Tom Brady and the Pats were the ones that ended it. And in Brady's Rookie season... or was it his second season???? ....well whenever he finally got the nod he delivered. The man is an excellent passer and has ice water running through his veins.Ben is good, but he isnt better than Tom Brady right now.

If Roethlisberger is more deserving of this recognition than Palmer or Manning, then Brady is more deserving than Roethlisberger.

WHODEY !!!I wasn't talking about playoff performances, just in general. I think Roethlisberger, at his age and admittedly lower maturity level should be in the upper tier of QBs because of many different factors. He's not as good a pure passer as Brady, Manning or Palmer, but he has plenty of the instincts and intangibles that some of the others on the list lack. For example, pocket awareness and freelancing ability.Palmer throws the nicest ball since Warren Moon and is extremely accurate. He's also benefitted from having one of the best corp of receivers in the league including Johnson, whom I believe to be one of the best in terms of getting open and stretching the field, as well as the top bookend tandem in the league in Anderson and Jones. Manning can make any throw and is also extremely accurate. Brady is Brady, completely unflappable and very sharp and precise. But when it comes to rating them as quarterbacks, not just passers, Roethlisberger is right up there with Brady. And you can talk about Ben's Super Bowl performance all you'd like, but look at his numbers during the other three playoff games. They're ridiculous:At CincyRoethlisberger: 14/19 208 yds 3 TDs 0 INTAt IndyRoethlisberger: 14/24 197 yds 2 TDs 1 INTAt DenverRoethlisberger: 21/29 275 yds 2 TDs 0 INTEven WITH his poor Super Bowl performance he had a 100+ QB rating in the playoffs. He was the reason we got there and had a few nice plays in the Super Bowl, including a TD run. Maybe I should change my pick to Brady because of his past success. But I think Ben is right there with him. And factoring in age and potential, he very well could rate higher than Brady. That's not being a homer, that's being a realist. NYBengalfan
I see the point you are trying to make, and its a good arguement. Give him another 5 years and see how many rings he gets. But the question isnt who has the best all around skills, it is who would you have start on your team. Brady is THE MOST consistant QB out of all of them. And when the game is on the line he is one of three QB's i would want on the field, and those three are, Joe Montana, Tom Brady and John Elway(...in no particular order). But Elway and Montana arent on the list, but Brady is.Unfortunately Benny boy can only get better, but so can Brady........Palmer too! Your Boy Benny will have a long successful career but as of right now I would give it to Brady 10 times out of 10.
BengalszoneBilly
I'm not real clear on this "All BZ QB" thing. Are we picking on the current "best," or the best during their individual careers?

TecmoFever
Who picked Marc Bulger? And why was he (or Trent Green) even included in the vote? I chose Brady slightly ahead of Palmer, by the way. Palmer makes me a little nervous at clutch time of games (last two minutes of the game), and the uncertainty of the knee has to drop him back. I now think that all Manning lovers are crazy, considering the loss to Pittsburgh. He had everything lined up for him this year and still couldn't produce. I would even rather have Roethlisberger over Manning. I can't believe I just said that.
