Whur CHad At? Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I think the Bengals are going to go hard for Tank Williams, who will def. be let go by the Titans. Tank is an excellent SS who can flat out destroy people. Just think Tank and Madeiu in the backfield, bustin suckas head up. He will not cost a whole of a hell lot(safeties usually don't penny up too much dough), so it is def. worth it. Sounds wonderful to me, how about you? Quote
lando griffin Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I'm down...frees up the second round pick for a good TE because I think we'll pick a safety there if we don't get Tank. Quote
HairOnFire Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 You can't imagine my relief upon finding out that this thread wasn't based upon official statements from the Bengals or beat writers close to the team. 'Cause Tank Williams sorta sucks. Quote
skyline Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Tank Williams is a liability...trust me...I watch him every week. Quote

turningpoint Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Tank sucks if he;s in our system...btw can you stop making up bols**t about who the bengals are pursueing.they aren't pursuing him, unless it's according to you, and last i checked you aren't the bengals. You can't imagine my relief upon finding out that this thread wasn't based upon official statements from the Bengals or beat writers close to the team. bengalindian Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 The few times I have a chance to visit here anymore, and you wasted my time with more rumors.I heard that Ed Reed was gonna play pro bono this year for Marvin because he decided that he had made enough money.Furthermore, in recent developments, Drew Brees has decided that he will NOT negotiate with the Chargers and sign a one-year contract at the League Minimum to play a couple games in place of Carson. GROIIIDayton Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 Tank Williams???? Might as well bring back Ohelete both are about the same guy. Quote
skyline Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 Tank Williams???? Might as well bring back Ohelete both are about the same guy. I wouldn't go THAT far. Tank is a much better tackler than Ohwhatshisface. He's just out of position way too often for my liking. Quote
semiotter Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I think most of the players that are helping us now are coming from the DRAFT, so I say stay on that path!!!What ya think????? Quote

That alone should make Tank an improvement over what we had last year. Quote

HairOnFire Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 So Tank Williams is a rich mans version of Ohalete? Sounds about right, ehh? And speaking of rich men, why would anyone bother offering a contract that paid Derrick Gibson 10 million a season? Regardless, from KFFL. Raiders | Gibson now a free agentWed, 22 Feb 2006 21:36:55 -0800Steve Corkran, of the Contra Costa Times, reports the Oakland Raiders exercised a clause in SS Derrick Gibson's contract that voids the remainder of Gibson's contract and makes him an unrestricted free agent. Gibson was scheduled to make $10 million this season; a figure the Raiders had no intention of honoring. Therefore, Gibson's only realistic shot of sticking with the Raiders for a sixth season was if he agreed to a restructured contract. Quote
