ShulaSteakhouse
Underwhelming FA, not bad, but indicates the Bengals' are indeed looking for a true veteran cover safety, versus a higher priced, big name talent to pair with Madeiu. Wright can also play CB in a pinch and provide good depth. Could also be a nice back-up if a Safety is drafted on the first day this year. Wright would have to make a transition from CB to Safety to do this. Predominately a nickel/third CB most of his career from what I recall. Not sure I disagree with Marvin's philosophy of using FA for depth, and the draft for impact, but would still like to see a proven difference maker added to this team on defense in FA, they are too far along to keep rebuilding through the draft constantly...just my opinion, but has little to do with this potential move.Profile
derekshank
Yeah... and if he's been a CB his whole career, and can be a badkup safety... it means he can play backup CB too. Versatility is a necessity for depth in the NFL. No big deal... except that we're creating better depth than we had this year.

Spain is no way trying to promote Kenny Wright as an advocate in the fight against deafness (tackle goodbye hearing). Just wanted to clear that up for everybody.
