  1. The big plays from guys who have been on the teams 3 seasons or less

    Andy Dalton

    AJ Green

    Carlos Dunlap

    Geno Atkins

    Vontaze Burfict

    Jermaine Gresham

    Mohammad Sanu

    Orson Charles

It definitely saved the season, assuming they can take care of business the next 2 weeks. Great win. Just going to enjoy the week!

  2. Oh I agree the running game is killing this team.

On Sirius today Rich Gannon said the "it all starts with Andy Dalton. He's already thrown 11 interceptions this season, and I'll think he'll throw a couple more Sunday to the Giants."

I'm looking at Dalton and I'm just not seeing either an elite quarterback or a servicable game manager. Teams got one year of tape on him, now they rush to box him in and make him throw from inside the pocket. The result is passes knocked down by d linemen and interceptions.

    New quarterback. Geno Smith.

    Geno Smith = Puke

Andy Dalton has outperformed every qb taken ahead of him and he hasn't had a Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson, MJD, DeAngelo/Stewart . He has a shot to break the record for most passing td's in a season for a Bengals QB. You don't think he has to press because the defense is horrible? He has no #2. Gresham is dropping everything. He can't do it all, and it's only his 2nd yr. You want to talk arm strength, well he averages 7.5 yards per completion. The same as Brees and Brady and better than Ben and Aaron Rodgers. Before every team figured out they can't run, and featured a stead diet of cover 2. He was 2nd in the league.

  3. The defense has been such swiss cheese, that has been the biggest stunner. People seem to be piling on Dalton, but obviously he has to press because the defense can't stop anything. Dunlap is a ghost. They didn't sniff Manning. But the lose Sunday, although expecting was extra obnoxious because the Bengals had more yards and won the turnover battle, and still lost. If the table were flipped, they would have lost because of the turnover battle. TO lose 3 straight at home is really bad.

  4. It would be great to get Jarvis Jones or Manti Te'o. If the Bengals finish in draft top 10, they could get one. I haven't checked out RB's yet, but in the 2nd round is the best bet. I hate taking rb's in the 1st. Groundhog day.

  5. The best way to beat Peyton is with pressure, and TECHNICALLY the defensive line is capable of applying pressure

1:00 start with the clock going back it will feel like 11am to the Broncos.

They are coming off a Sunday Night Game

Bengals are coming off of a bye, after losing 3 straight.

It's supposed to be sunny and 50 which is bad for Cincy.

There has to be a little bit of a chip. The fans have given up, they were embarrassed on Sunday night. They've lost 2 straight at home.

    Miracles can happen.

  6. The forecast is rainy and windy. They have to play at 10:00 am Denver time. The Bengals are coming off a bye week. I swear to GOD, I would throw 10 hail mary's to AJ Green, and just hope the weather stops them. The crazy thing is the Bengals are 3-4 and the Broncos are 4-3 and yet, there is a sense of not having a chance. Maybe I'm just too crushed by the 3 game skid.

  7. That's the game within the game. There is NO WAY the Bengals will win this game, or slow down Manning. So I'm rooting for holding them to under 42 pts. I think that could happen. How exciting! I don't gamble anymore ,but if I did. I'd bet the house on Denver. It's an example that the Bengals must do something very simple, and guys like Manning and Brady just carve it up. Where did the hope go?

  8. Well I was looking at another comparison as well. Both teams had tremendous stretches of sucking. The jump from not being competitive to fielding a team has happend. The next jump, to become a Balt, Pitt, GB, NYG, or NE seems impossible. There is something, and I have no idea what it is. Something structurally that will prevent these teams from getting there. A practice bubble, scouts, bigger towels I just don't know. I guess hoping for 9-7 is the goal, because they won't compete for Super Bowl.

  9. They have the same issues. 1 superstar WR and no running game. If teams are daring you to run because of Cover 2 , than you just do it. The fact that the Bengals can never counter anything is mind numbing. I don't see a scenario where Peyton doesn't carve up that secondary.

  10. TO me it's a catch22. One one hand Marvin has worked a miracle with Mike Brown as the owner. On the other hand we haven't won a playoff game with Marv as coach. There is never a witty gameplan. They were so outcoached last night. I've never seen the Bengals scheme someone out of a game like they did AJ Green. That team was wiped out. Ughhhh Totally blew it.

  11. I'm in the same boat as you guys. I really wish they would have taken a RB higher in the draft. The play that really sticks out to me last week was the swing pass drop by Gresham. That could have been a huge gain. The drops are killing this team. This is the kind of game that the Steelers win and the Bengals win. It's time for the young guys to grow up. At home, prime time, desperate game against a beat down Steeler team? Gotta win. I have no faith though.

  12. The offense was the smoking gun for the loss yesterday, but I want the Bengals to be able to do just 1 thing GREAT. The NFL is chalk full of parity now. The Bengals can do alot of things OK. But if they had a verocious pass rush, that really rushed him yesterday. That would have lead to more int. and mistakes. Yesterday was frustrating. 1 int. this season and they've played 3 rookies and Blaine Gabbert? That's not right. If you just beat on a rookie, he'll throw picks.
